The easy way out! Blame an abstraction called fate instead of the humans who are totally responsible but make it appear as though it were all inevitable, maliciously supervised by fate. But then, humans from day one were always expert in passing the buck. Nothing new here! Trump was always blaming Biden throughout history!Gary Childress wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 7:08 amIf there is no God, then I would call the species that made the world into a dumpster victims of fate.
There are no criminals, therefore there is no crime is our way out of this mess!

Is that worse than, who can we blame for this? I would think each and every one of us has had a hand in the mess.Dubious wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 7:44 amThe easy way out! Not that! It just becomes nauseating if spread like wild oats season after season. Why is that necessary?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 7:09 amWhy do you say that? Are those in despair some kind of disease that we spread and infect others around us with it?

Fair enough. Maybe you have a valid point. I'll try to be more optimistic, in that case.Dubious wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 7:51 amNot that! I guess I complain too much. I suppose it brings other people down. I should probably hold my tongue and take it to the grave with me, instead of spreading it around.

I think she is a memory of the old man's women ... mother, grandmother, wife, daughter.

- What the link doesn’t say, but what life implies, is that when girls become women they will eventually just want selfless kindness. This implies that for the giver, kindness is its own reward.
- The link could also be about the beginnings of gender dysphoria.

I see it as an old man watching as his clock runs out, as he moves further and further away from the happier pursuits of youth. It has a somber meaning to me, perhaps that's no surprise.

I think it mostly implies that I made all the wrong choices and now I'm screwed. Not that anyone else should care one way or the other.Walker wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 8:23 am https://images.fineartamerica.com/image ... yshire.jpg

Yes, but you keep insisting that you will make the SAME 'choices' again if the opportunity arises. So why complain about it then?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 8:35 amI think it mostly implies that I made all the wrong choices and now I'm screwed. If that woman asked you for money again you would probably sell your mother into slavery to get it or pawn off your organs. It's so obvious
