Although I am but a dim-witted Australian, Bob, I am a dim-witted Australian with an entrepreneurial cast of mind and a sharp eye out for a good earner. I see a great opportunity looming on my horizon as a tax minimisation consultant under an AEP administration. No doubt there will be fierce competition in such a rich field of potential scammers but I can forge economic credentials like no other and I present a very imposing corporate figure in a grey-pinstripe with pale blue tie. Your people and my people should get together for a chat on matters to our possible mutual advantage.

I'm sorry, but you fail to understand that there are reputable firms in our country that specialize in these matters. In fact, real estate values have been used in the U.S. for a very long time for taxation purposes, but I can understand how this could be a perplexing matter for Australians whose conception of flight is limited to birds and boomerangs.

You underestimate the value of our convict heritage, Bob, and therefore fail to sufficiently appreciate that corporate larceny is not an exclusively American talent. Our bigshots are just as rapacious as yours are, Bob, and engineering the FLIGHT of taxable revenue from outwith our economy and into untraceable offshore tax havens is keeping the snouts of many dimwitted Australian entrepreneurs securely embedded in the public trough.

That was pretty dumb, Leo! Try not to let your irritation with Bob and his ideas get in the way of your ability to think and write intelligently.

It isn't the certificates that Bob is proposing to tax, it's the property. Such a tax could be relatively simple to enforce and difficult to evade so lack of revenue from it is not the inevitable problem you suggest.

Please try to raise your game a little.

One certainly can't argue with that observation, and the game of Ouzo would be exceedingly appropriate.
