Well I like the Christian message as well but philosophically it has a small flaw and that's what if I like things that others don't? Doing unto them might be an issue in this case.
We have to live long enough to figure out how to end this thing known as existence itself. ...
Don't see why? As its probable that it'll end itself of its own accord.
That's the only meaning of life there is, really...
Nah! There's loads more meanings to life if one wishes.
That is true but I don't think it is a rulebook but a guidebook. For example he says hate your brother but it is only a metaphor he means.
End itself? Well, if it is due to our own actions, and we are part of it, then it would have, infact, ended itself.

I think the truth is - ' ... all music (even epic music) is hollow, unsatisfying, and meaningless
to me, like life.'.
Which I'm sure has some value to you.
Music is like an 8 ball, it has only the meaning you put into it.
Therefore, it has no meaning at all.
It seems that Trixie has a "tin ear" and wouldn't know good music if it bit her in the ass.

Good, a human term. I'd say I know your psychology well, and being a composer myself I know what things do what emotions every which way. I also know how humans are very fickle, and their tastes change from day to day. Though live orchestra symphonies tend to have high energy no matter what they do or what they play, even if it is off key, due to acoustics reverbance. Marijuana can also make things sound otherworldy as well. Sometimes the music gets so high energy that it becomes an overdose, like a woman on her period, and can induce psychotic behaviors...
It is not so much the ear, but the state of the mind, spirit and body...As old men like yourself, with broken eardrums can still hear a tune every now and then...

I think the quote above pretty-much says it all...
Bill's reaction to the Future Symphony Institute proves that not all men can appreciate the highest things.

Notwithstanding this philosophical insight, Lloyd E. Rigler founded the Classic Arts Showcase to make the highest things in the arts available to the widest possible audience. His goal has been totally achieved with the streaming of CSA over the Internet.

Watching CSA every day, as I do, it occurred to me that CSA basically presents the highest things in thought about art that have been and now are produced by Western Civilization.
I love this performance of the evening prayer by Kathleen Battle.

Jokes aside, music is not the Highest thing, or Highest Truth, its human specific and the effects don't translate to other species, or aliens.

Good performance, Von Stade's dress was sensible, Battles sleeves were a bit absurd. It's as if Battle was insecure and wanted to draw attention to herself. Of course Von Stade could make anyone insecure.

Regarding my reference to the "highest things," I was thinking of the Transcendentals of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

Nothing better to do that name-call people who did nothing to you. Begone with you. It makes no sense because you are not thinking with a clear mind. What I said was not all that confusing.

She's been listening to Beatles music. We all live in a Yellow Submarine. Strawberry fields forever. They wrote it for Americans, because we make no sense with our lack of kings or queens, driving on the right, and killing the enemies of our previous enemies.

More like an Old English translation of Aristotle. But, you never know until you prove it.
