Of course you didn't Bill and thats why you titled that picture of the elephant the way you did.

If you truly believe all you said the above then you are deluding yourself and I think you need to change tack in this 'philosophy' of yours.

No, I respectfully disagree.

I think you over extended.

You reflected something that you had inside yourself.

Still nothing to actually say on the topic I note. No change there then.

Any solutions or just more emotive shite from you and lmfao that the two of you think nothing of talking about killing humans but weep crocodile tears over the elephant.
Proof you're an idiot.

You look like you eat a lot of meat Bill? Dairy products?
What the stupid seem to not understand, is the symbiotic balance of our biosphere, and the ramifications of it's tipping. The lesson of Easter Island sheds no light on these dimwits. But I would expect no less from one whose blinders are fueled by selfishness only, even in spite of the demise of their own bloodline. What a waste of flesh. They think they love themselves, and what fools they are.

Pay her no mind, Bill. She's a whacked out chick, fueled with the ultimate fear, i.e., herself.

You fucking bloody murderer, that you believe that one should slaughter the mightiest pachyderm for its ivory, for shame you bloodthirsty fool.

Why is this true? Because like before, you are talking about farming the animal, and not their horns & tusks. Yet you jumped all over me earlier as to the rhino, when I reacted the same way. One farms not the means but rather the ends. When one speaks of that, that they farm, it is that which they harvest, not that which they sow.

One is not farming rhinos and elephants, rather they are farming horns and tusks.
What are you twatting on about now!?
Obviously, your twat, and that it stinks to high heaven!

I'm talking about farming elephants for their ivory(Think of it as an intransitive verb ).

Now I think it'll have to be different as I don't think their tusks grow in the same way or have the same use as the rhino so I doubt we can crop them if we wish to have them roaming wild ranches. I also guess that any such farmer would like the most ivory he/she can get so the elephant would have to live a long time, that at the end the elephant dies means that the meat should also not go to waste. So yes, farming in the sense you appear to mean. Of course it might be that the farmer kills them before they get old as there might be a profitable return at a certain size tusk.

I'm talking about allowing countries to have an ivory trade and letting them release their current ivory stocks in an attempt to decrease the price. I'm talking, depending on the model thats implemented, about ensuring that the locals actually get a share of the profits as this way they'll have a vested interest in keeping the elephant alive. As so far the current methods appear to be failing and you two don't seem to be able to offer another solution so I think pretty soon the elephant will be going the way of the mastodon and for much the same reason, economics.
One does not farm corn stalks or cucumber vines, they farm corn and cucumbers, what a twit, AS YOUR MEANING IS IN THE RESPONSE THAT IT GETS, YOU STUPID TWAT!

And this addresses the issue of the elephant going the way of the mastodon thanks to people who think like you how?

You appear to miss that I said I'd expect the farmer to be farming the whole animal at its death, meat, bones, teeth an' all, as it would be disrespectful not to.

Still, its, "The meaning of one's words are the response they get", and in your case I expected such a response so no problem there then with my meaning.

I understand the idea of a "tipping point". Are you claiming that losing the larger mammals will cause such a thing as I thought it more applicable to the chemical make-up of the atmosphere.
The lesson of Easter Island sheds no light on these dimwits. ...
No, the lessons are clear, although what actually finished them off was contact with external civilizations. What naive idiots like you don't understand is that unless you come-up with an economic system that can cope with humans needs and desires to live like we do all your cassandra moralizing is just the puffings of the fat and comfortable.

Whats a 'bloodline' when it's at home? So now you think it imminent and my kids are in danger?

If we pay attention to what you say then the elephant will be gone pretty soon. Your words remind me that you are just another male Yank who lives in a psycho-babble world of assumed patriarchy, in fact exactly the world that you claim to despise.

Still not hearing any actual solutions to your bemoaning moralizing about the plight of the elephant?

Nor any valid issues about my solution other than moralizing platitudes from the fat and comfortable about killing our fellows.

This goes with that below, or you can't make comment, it's contextual. You do this quite a lot by the way

You obviously don't know squat about Easter Island, it was because they used all their canoe manufacturing resources, in a silly dispute over who could appease the gods the most, by building larger/more stone statues, that required logs to get them closer to the shoreline. Sound familiar?
But I would expect no less from one whose blinders are fueled by selfishness only, even in spite of the demise of their own bloodline. What a waste of flesh. They think they love themselves, and what fools they are.

You can't keep track of that which you've already said, so as to connect the dots, you are an idiot. Imminence has nothing to do with it, though obviously you would gorge yourself on fats and sugars just to the point of a massive coronary, just for the sake of gorging. <--Metaphor
So I guess with you, distance, breeds contempt. <--- think about it. I guess it's kind of like a riddle, though it is in response to the question of your progeny, as it pertains to imminence.

You're just a crazy bitch, aren't you. The problem is POPULATION EXPLOSION, that's it, you, the idiot, that would sit there, nut to butt, like sardines in a can, whining, as you're gasping for your last breath, "I don't understand what went wrong, we killed off all the animals so we could feed ourselves, and the forests too, damn it why can't I breath?" Such a dip shit you are. Of course I'll not waste my time elaborating on the big picture with someone like you, as to all the deceases you'd have and the why of it. If your dumb ass doesn't understand the need for biodiversity, fuck you, I'm sick of wasting my time on your bullshit. I don't know why you even bother here in this thread, as you said, 'It doesn't matter, we're all going to die anyway.' Such selfish, lazy, apathy, you are a waste of flesh my dear. I hope you're not menopausal, cause I'd hate to think I'm verbally abusing a crazy old woman, through no fault of her own, but if you're gay you have no excuse. No, not demeaning to women, just saying you act like one.

Non sequitur, it does not follow that one must have the solution to your apathetic, lazy selfish life, so that one can call a spade a spade.

Not surprising from you that believes my meaning, can only be found in your head. Hear any voices lately? But what I really can't believe is that you actually said that you'd kill your own bloodline of the future, because of your lazy, selfish, wants and desires, (not needs) of your days. You're a sick fuck indeed. It would seem apathetic selfishness is par for your course. Good thing I'm not a "higher Species," or like your kind, I'd train you like the dog that you are. Primarily I'd have you just sit on your head, sorry, er, I meant, ass, as we know you're good at that. Some mindless task that takes no brains, because thinking is definitely not your thing, interesting that Bill seems to understand.

You truly are an idiot, you think me simple, yet you act as though you don't understand my meaning, make up your mind, sweetheart!

My wife just said you were a fool and an hypocrite, as to "your fellows" and those damn "yanks," she said make up your fucking mind.

I tried to tell her that you were mental.

I've always known why you drop off the quote history.
To Everyone, look below, to see if you're smarter than "Descending_uk".

As to this:
I said this:
SpheresOfBalance wrote:Well, you know Bill, It's a shame I'm not some all powerful alien, you know, some, so called, higher evolved species, because I can see that I might be persuaded to farm the brains, of some humans, as like shit, I believe they may make good fertilizer, as it would seem, they're good for nothing more.
My wife lives with me it's true, but she said it was a no brainer, actually getting peeved as I attempted to explain it to her, saying, "I understood it, as I first read it," and she only has a high school GED, 'piece of paper.'

I think someones a liar! What do you think, "Descending_uk," you know anyone that might fit the bill?

Probably. I'll try to address it.
You obviously don't know squat about Easter Island, it was because they used all their canoe manufacturing resources, in a silly dispute over who could appease the gods the most, by building larger/more stone statues, that required logs to get them closer to the shoreline. Sound familiar?
I'd have thought it more because of over cultivation due to population increase due to cultivation that lead them to clear their forests. The stone statues were a political response to the problems I'd guess, bread and circuses an' all that. When we found them the population has dropped to a sustainable level of a few thousand, from the ten odd thousand we thought existed before, so an example of your symbiotic relationship finding a level. What finished them off was contact with slavers and disease brought by the Europeans.
You can't keep track of that which you've already said, so as to connect the dots, you are an idiot. Imminence has nothing to do with it, though obviously you would gorge yourself on fats and sugars just to the point of a massive coronary, just for the sake of gorging. <--Metaphor
Nope, I keep track of what I think and what I think is that people have to eat. If all they can afford is the cheap foods that are bad for them against the choice of starving I think they'll choose the cheap foods.
So I guess with you, distance, breeds contempt. <--- think about it. I guess it's kind of like a riddle, though it is in response to the question of your progeny, as it pertains to imminence.
People have been declaring the end-of-the-world since dot and its still here. What you appear to be upset about is the end of technological and industrial society as its unlikely that all the human species will die out. More likely the Easter Island scenario and a big die off of certain species but the Earth will abide and life will return as it has through the numerous Ice Earths that we now know have exterminated pretty much all life upon the planet numerous times.

The difference between me and you is that I don't bother moralising about others actions unless I'm willing to actually do something about them. I also believe that it is possible to change the world but think to ignore the economics is naive and find that many like you always make it someone elses fault and in your case prefer to make it a problem of psychology rather than economics and politics.
You're just a crazy bitch, aren't you. The problem is POPULATION EXPLOSION, that's it, you, the idiot, that would sit there, nut to butt, like sardines in a can, whining, as you're gasping for your last breath, "I don't understand what went wrong, we killed off all the animals so we could feed ourselves, and the forests too, damn it why can't I breath?" Malthus has been a spectre since his calculus and yet every decade he's been disproved by advances in technology and science. Still, I understand the big picture I just hear nothing from such as you about what to do about it other than sitting in comfort and belly-aching about it.
I don't know why you even bother here in this thread, as you said, 'It doesn't matter, we're all going to die anyway.' Such selfish, lazy, apathy, you are a waste of flesh my dear. "No, not demeaning to women, just saying you act like one." Your culture box is pinning you in.

I bother with this thread as I'd like to discuss things that might make a difference. Your way they won't.
