Probably. I'll try to address it.
You obviously don't know squat about Easter Island, it was because they used all their canoe manufacturing resources, in a silly dispute over who could appease the gods the most, by building larger/more stone statues, that required logs to get them closer to the shoreline. Sound familiar?
I'd have thought it more because of over cultivation due to population increase due to cultivation that lead them to clear their forests. The stone statues were a political response to the problems I'd guess, bread and circuses an' all that. When we found them the population has dropped to a sustainable level of a few thousand, from the ten odd thousand we thought existed before, so an example of your symbiotic relationship finding a level. What finished them off was contact with slavers and disease brought by the Europeans.
You can't keep track of that which you've already said, so as to connect the dots, you are an idiot. Imminence has nothing to do with it, though obviously you would gorge yourself on fats and sugars just to the point of a massive coronary, just for the sake of gorging. <--Metaphor
Nope, I keep track of what I think and what I think is that people have to eat. If all they can afford is the cheap foods that are bad for them against the choice of starving I think they'll choose the cheap foods.
So I guess with you, distance, breeds contempt. <--- think about it. I guess it's kind of like a riddle, though it is in response to the question of your progeny, as it pertains to imminence.
People have been declaring the end-of-the-world since dot and its still here. What you appear to be upset about is the end of technological and industrial society as its unlikely that all the human species will die out. More likely the Easter Island scenario and a big die off of certain species but the Earth will abide and life will return as it has through the numerous Ice Earths that we now know have exterminated pretty much all life upon the planet numerous times.
The difference between me and you is that I don't bother moralising about others actions unless I'm willing to actually do something about them. I also believe that it is possible to change the world but think to ignore the economics is naive and find that many like you always make it someone elses fault and in your case prefer to make it a problem of psychology rather than economics and politics.
You're just a crazy bitch, aren't you. The problem is POPULATION EXPLOSION, that's it, you, the idiot, that would sit there, nut to butt, like sardines in a can, whining, as you're gasping for your last breath, "I don't understand what went wrong, we killed off all the animals so we could feed ourselves, and the forests too, damn it why can't I breath?" Such a dip shit you are. Of course I'll not waste my time elaborating on the big picture with someone like you, as to all the deceases you'd have and the why of it. If your dumb ass doesn't understand the need for biodiversity, fuck you, I'm sick of wasting my time on your bullshit. ...
Malthus has been a spectre since his calculus and yet every decade he's been disproved by advances in technology and science. Still, I understand the big picture I just hear nothing from such as you about what to do about it other than sitting in comfort and belly-aching about it.
I don't know why you even bother here in this thread, as you said, 'It doesn't matter, we're all going to die anyway.' Such selfish, lazy, apathy, you are a waste of flesh my dear. I hope you're not menopausal, cause I'd hate to think I'm verbally abusing a crazy old woman, through no fault of her own, but if you're gay you have no excuse. No, not demeaning to women, just saying you act like one.

"No, not demeaning to women, just saying you act like one." Your culture box is pinning you in.
I bother with this thread as I'd like to discuss things that might make a difference. Your way they won't.
