Sure. I would never argue otherwise. Who would? I'm sure most of us realize the world is bigger than us. So far, you are not saying anything that most are unaware of.
I agree.

But then, why do they live as if they don't believe it?
Because, like anyone else, I don't like getting screwed by the world. So I complain.
To whom?

To anyone who asks or whom I happen to be talking to.

But why? They can't do anything you can't do. And they aren't responsible for what happens to you. So complaining to them makes absolutely no sense.

Are you sure that's the direction of your complaint?

Telling them I'm fine when I'm not makes even less sense. I'd rather be genuine and say what's on my mind than be phoney to people. Besides, if people don't want to hear me complain, then they are no friends of mine, nor people I would want to be friends with.

Really? Wouldn't a good friend point out to you that, by complaining to people who have nothing to do with your problem and can do nothing to help you, you were not helping yourself, but just making yourself more miserable by harping on your challenges instead of your blessings? Wouldn't a real friend want to see you be happy, rather than to maximize your own misery?

Well, if I can't talk to people unless I'm "happy," then I don't know what else to do. I can certainly tell them things I can be grateful for, if that's what they want to hear. And if that's what you want to hear, then I'm grateful for tea. It tastes better than water. What's something you are grateful for?

It's not about "talking," Gary. It's about obsessing on your own miseries to people who are not the cause and not the cure. Surely that's a really useless hobby.
I can certainly tell them things I can be grateful for, if that's what they want to hear. And if that's what you want to hear, then I'm grateful for tea. It tastes better than water.
That's a better start, Gary. Now you have just one thing in your life for which you can take a few paltry seconds to feel thankful. A tiny crack of light just opened in the otherwise-unremitting bleakness of your thoughts.

Now do it again. And again.
What's something you are grateful for?
So many things. Knowing God is number 1, far and away. That's the best thing in all of existence, I do believe.

Fair enough.

A religious airhead, and that is directly from the talking snake.
