When one of my daughters was into writing poetry, Denise Levertov came to Duluth to give a reading at the College of St. Scholastica. My wife asked that I take Sarah to the poetry reading. I had never heard of Levertov. We went and I enjoyed the evening. Actually, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Levertov. Only later did I learn that she was a major poet and British. Upon reflection, I must say that UK artists certainly have enriched my life.
