The Most Important Thread of 2012

Post by Bill Wiltrack »

.

This is the most important thread of 2012.

Yes, this is the most important thread of 2012. Not only that but this is the most important post of the most important thread of 2012.

It is because I say it is.

That is where we are at.

Never in the history of man have more people been able to speak their mind on so many venues and avenues of thought and media.

So, you will get or understand this thread and you will post in some way to let me know, and we will feel a common communion for a brief moment.

Or, you will lurk. You will decide that this thread is not worth your time in responding, so you will move on...to something more important. Most of us are lurking.

A few of you will respond in the negative. You'll force me to redefine my stance. You will point out flaws and holes in my logic or hubris. For that is what intellect does. That is the function of the intellect. It works in black & white.

It will continue to work that way even after you and I are gone. In fact, we could already be gone, we don't matter.

The more we talk, the more of us that communicate, through more and more avenues of communication – the less we are heard.

Traditional avenues of publishing are imploding. Newspapers and printed magazines are a thing of the past, along with publishing companies that handle books.

Unless you are an established author your hopes of being published today are zero. Strange.

There is no longer authority. Your opinion is just as good as mine...Matter of fact, if anyone asks, your opinion is better than mine – according to you. And, in the end, you alone.

Education, honesty, earnestly stand there naked. Striped of their inherent value. Standing there as just one separate aspect of this big thing we call humanity. Nothing more.

And we just sit here and observe, and respond, when respond moves through us.

Oh yeah, one other thing, our attention span, as a whole, is much shorter for the vast majority of us.

There is just sooooo much to see. We can't stay too long.

That is where we are at.

Because I say it is...until you say it isn't.

Things pass through us. That's what we are as human beings. Food, air, impressions are all transformed as they are filtered through this incredible thing called homo sapiens.

Things pass through us, even ideas.

We identify with the ideas that pass through us as individuals.

Much as the stories of opium addicts that are so identified with their pipes that they believe they become the pipe that delivers their particular addiction.

Philosophically we may not have evolved as individuals as much as we have transformed.

Additions, identification, the false perception that we as individuals exist separate from our immediate surroundings, all create the miasma, the screaming, the internet, the babel of drowning individuals standing on the doorstep of hell.

Based upon the contents of this thread, philosophically speaking, will you decide that it is more correct or more noble not to respond to this thread or will you make an effort to communicate?

Will your response to this thread define you in 2012?

My rough guess is that the most important thread of 2012 is 70% blank space and 30% hot air, which doesn't bode well for the second most important thread of 2012.

Ya know, a bigger, better model of you would apologize to all of us Philosophy Now Forums.

I know you don't have that in you.

What is your response?

Like I said, a bigger, better model of you...

I'm trying to figure out, I've been on this website for years and I haven't noticed ANY spamming by Rick Lewis. Matter of fact, I believe you could confirm it, he DOESN'T ALLOW spamming on his site.

Makes a site look trashy...I agree with Rick.

So, in your entrepreneurial quest-shit, hang on...let me sit down. This is too funny...so, So in your entrepreneurial quest to become the 1% you decided SPAMMING on someone else's web site would be a good idea!

Hang on... oh fuck....give me a minute.

I can't remember when I have laughed so hard over a forum post on Philosophy Now.

So, in your quest, you decided to try and make one of our SELFLESS Moderators look like the bad-guy.

To his credit, AMod TOTALLY fuckin owned you. And in a quick fashion.

And, as fellow members here on this site, you can totally trash us because, well because WE don't exist. Not in your mind. It's all about you.

Do you see anyone else here using SPAM on each other here?

So, we can expect a lot of SPAM on your new site. How exciting.

Dude, I WILL NEVER GO TO YOUR SITE.

You have nothing to add here.

A bigger, better version of you would feel shame.

People like you don't apologize. You have no conscience.

Please promise me, if you ever do get a job, make sure you're not working anywhere around children or younger people with developing minds. Do everyone that favor.

Oh well, I don't want to stand in you way while you are climbing towards your ruler-ship of the universe...

Thank you for allowing me to see the real you. Hope you find happiness at the top.

Dear Hysterical Ninny,

If you wish to have access to my time, the only way to get it is to start a new thread where all this moral superiority fantasy gibberish can be consolidated. That way readers won't have to wade through it in every thread that you and I participate in.

You have very little to contribute here Bill, so if you want access to my time, you're going to have to comply with terms and conditions that make it worth my while.

The first condition is start a new thread dedicated to this subject.

The second condition is that you request access to my time.

The third condition is that you make your case in an intelligent reasoned manner appropriate to a philosophy forum. You wish to hold a trial with me as the accused. Ok, no problem. But you are going to have to act like a lawyer. You're going to have to come prepared, and present a coherent logical argument, and be prepared to defend it.

Here's the real deal Bill. You are unable to do all of the above, because you aren't bright enough. If you attempt it, I will kick your ass rhetorically and embarrass you.

This is what this whole rant of yours is really about. I've embarrassed you in the past, and now you think you have an opportunity for some kind of pay back. But what's really going to happen is that you're just going to be embarrassed again, because you refuse to use the brain you do have.

We're going to have this conversation my way, or we're not going to have this conversation, or any other. If you want access to my time, you have to pay this bill, because you have nothing else to put on the table besides pictures and white space.

I assume you will reject my terms, and that I'll be putting you on ignore shortly.

Um...the directions on the prescription bottles...You need to FOLLOW THOSE EXACTLY as your Doctor ordered.

IF YOU CHANGE ANYTHING you need to contact your medical professionals IMMEDIATELY!

Judging from your last post It's kinda obvious that your leaning....you're about a half-a-beat off.

Take some time for yourself.

Perhaps step back & take a break from posting for a while. You might feel better when you come back.

Take the time to re-read the two threads we have been chatting on.

Notice that you are not relating to the questions directed towards you.

Re-read them. Take you time with them....
