There have been many economic and political reasons, how the world views America, but most importantly, President Barack Obama, our 44th President has done something that no law or ceremony can touch.
Relations, on every level, have changed when it comes to race.
President Barack Obama has brought my country to a new level.
A new definition.
America has taken a huge step forward in becoming what we have long pinned to ourselves.
America has taken a huge step in becoming the true melting pot of humanity.

Barack Obama
and what he and his family represents HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING in America.

.
Fine words Bill - but there is no substance behind them.

I think anyone who is really paying attention cannot fail but be severely disappointed by the results of his Presidency.
Obama is big on promise, small on delivery.
He has failed on health, failed on employment, failed to help mortgage owners, and has continued to support failing banks just like his predecessor.
He has kept his promises to quit Iraq and Afghanistan, rather he has sent in more and more troops. He's failed to end rendition and Guantanamo is still holding prisoners illegally.
The black community is poorer than it was 3 years ago.
What has he ACTUALLY achieved?

Watch this video.

THAT is what I mean by the change that President Barack Obama has brought without passing any laws in relation to race relations in America.[/size]

You're looking at the new America's Family. The Obamas are what the Kennedys were.

Chaz, I could argue EVERY point for point just as strongly in a positive way. I don't think it would change anything.

What the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama has done is change the accepted practice of race relations in America.

There is no way to overestimate the importance of this blooming philosophical consciousness.

And yet he is considered black when he is just as much white. Appearance is still all in the States.

I know what you are saying Chaz and I know you are right.

But there is another factor. Beyond the man himself.

His Presidency has change America. President Barack Obama represents something that I feel EVERYDAY in any relationship between me and an African-American.

African-Americans now OWN part of the pie.

People are being known beyond their color. Slowly, the description of a person's character is being dealt with BEFORE the color of their skin.

I'm asking you to understand what I am saying and perhaps say it better for yourself for I do not feel I am doing a good job of defining, what for me is, a rather connotative but important generalization.

When it comes to policy Chaz, I could argue EVERY point for point just as strongly, just as passionately, in a positive way. I don't think it would change anything.

It's unproductive. You have your opinion and feelings and I have mine.

I do REALLY appreciate the fact that you have taken the time to form an opinion on such an important Presidency. I respect what you are saying and I am honestly honored that you are able to formulate an emotionally charged feeling towards Barack Obama and what he has done.

What the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama has done is change the accepted practice of race relations in America.

There is no way to overestimate the importance of this blooming philosophical change in the consciousness of Americans.

There are a lot of economic and social ills that Barack Obama has inherited. Short version, I think America is fucked. It looks like we will fall as quickly as we arose, and perhaps this is only just.

Chaz, you are a child. You try to point out the obvious, but you fail in your attempts. If you know, so much about philosophy where does this thread belong, and why :?:

You are a moron.
I don't need to point out the obvious - because its obvious.
Obvious except to moron like you.

Why don't you ever say anything worthwhile, or meaningful?

I don't give a rat's arse about your pathetic attempts at taxonomy.

The thread is what it is. If you don't like it you don't have to participate.

Chaz, I feel sorry for people like you: you come in here throw around all these credentials, and blow-your own horn, and then when an easy question comes up you choke on your own arrogance. No-big-deal to me
