Does the Universe have Sense?

How does science work? And what's all this about quantum mechanics?

Do you mean "Does the Universe Sense?".

Maybe; "Can the Universe Sense?"

OR; "Does the Universe have Sense?"

Whatever you wanted to say, the answer is no.

Sorry for mistake :( thanks for correction :)

Then, does (your) life have Sense?

Yes, I have a range of senses. Aristotle counted five, but I am reasonably sure that the human body possesses many more.

Alternatively - if you mean 'sense' as "meaning". I answer yes, but only the meaning I give it. There is no purpose or meaning imposed on me by the universe as a such. Nothing pre-existing.

There is not necessarily a meaning or a purpose that is common to both you and me. Except that for the moment we are both commenting in the same thread.

I am to admit there is no particular purpose imposed on you by the Universe
But perhaps you could clarify two things:
- the meaning you give the universe
- more senses of human body
I personally would very appreciate it

You asked if the Universe had "Sense" - you you mean "does it mean anything?" or "can it sense anything?"

The Universe is everything.
The other senses; changes in heat, Touch is divided in to pain or pressure; Sense of direction; knowing here your limbs are without seeing them (close your eyes and touch your nose); muscle tension; balance; time...
hang on I'll find a link.

I do not think Universe is everything. At least there is the Future here, there are ideas here...

How would you guys answer: am 'I' the sense of the universe? Or did the universe 'sense' me?

That is an a odd thing to say. The universe is, by definition everything.
Where is "here"?

Here is in our Universe reachable by our "senses". Hardly to believe it is the all. More probably we are as paramoecium (ciliate) that has no idea about the gas phase, about the solid phase. They live in their liquid phase's causality saying it is the all :( Perhaps the paramoecium is able to accept the idea of, let us say complex number; perhaps they are the complex creatures operating outside our (direct) senses, let us say in the future, that sense us by the same way as we sense the paramoeciums :)

I do not discount the possibility of part of the Universe being beyond our senses. That is how we are able to look beyond our senses to find out that the Universe is greater than we thought. This has been the experience of astronomy for the last 500 years.
It is still everything , by definition.
We are the paramecia that have grown legs and walked on land, and flown through the air. There maybe more to find yet.

chaz, you know a lot. So, why don't they have a Nobel Prize for philosophy?

I have no idea. Why don't you write a letter to the Nobel committee?

One, who is able to quiet the body's signals leading to his brain, has a chance to "hear" something more. It is known opinion the brain has access to the quantum phenomena. Quantum phenomena are trembling, waving surface of Universe, it is rather uncertain process of the "now". Freed brain can perhaps partially decode information carrying there. Motivated people thus can reach (via the contemplation) some connection to the "supersystem". They feel the strong joy of the nature. Other advantages? Perhaps some compensation, perhaps they can slightly see to the future, perhaps they can better communicate, perhaps they can exchange information about DNA via eyes... I am convinced (for example) dogs manage similar ability naturally…
Simply saying, I believe in something behind :)

It is pure speculation that any of this is linked to QM.
Even it is is, QM is still part of the universe.
