So you refuse to validate my feelings. Instead, you want me to do something. What do you want me to do?

I'm getting to complain freely without being silenced. That seems like a worthwhile thing to me.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 2:50 pmHey, it's your life. If you're winning anything, you know. Then that's all you get. You decided to play your hand that way. And that's all I asked you to do. It's your choice, your life, and your result.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 2:53 pmI'm getting to complain freely without being silenced. Thank you. Mental illness sucks. It's the pits. Being able to complain helps me feel less depressed, though. Although the delusions and hallucinations seem to have no cure other than meds that dope up my mind into a dull malaise. Does that sound like it sucks to you? Or would you welcome the condition if you could have it?Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 2:57 pmThen that's all you get. You decided to play your hand that way. And that's all I asked you to do. I'm thanking you because you are not telling me to "play my cards" over and over again. If you telling me to "play my cards" is annoying, then should I not thank you when you stop telling me to "play my cards"?Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 3:07 pmWhy thank me? I think you shouldn't. Because allowing you to proceed on inaction and self-pity would be no favour from me to you. However, if your decision is made, it's made...and again, no thanks to me. It's been up to you from the start.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 3:11 pmI'm thanking you because you are not telling me to "play my cards" over and over again. Thank yourself, I guess, if you think you have done yourself a favour.

Re: God and morality
"So in effect what you are up to is a strange projection of a revisionist spirit back in time."
Quite right, sir. It wouldn't be until after an industrial revolution and a few major world wars that one could put two and two together and begin to grow suspicious. Wherever there is war, poverty, and religion, there are rich men.
The Enlightenment philosopher's irony: he gave the working class the intellectual tools to break free of the spell the bourgeoisie had put on it so long ago. So, with the death of god and some major world disasters under your belt, you became able to see history for what it was and is. A battle for property and privilege on a godless planet of monkeys crusing aimlessly through space.

You quote my name but don't fill in what it is you are responding to. Can you help me by telling me what you are referring to when you say you "will give me a specific outline"?Alexis Jacobi wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 2:46 pmThis was my proposal:

Re: God and morality
"it is impossible to even entertain a world constructed on the basis of or one resulting from an application of your oddly-formed ideology"
Indeed, but there is method in my madness. First, my anarcho-nihilism is largely anecdotal and circumstantial. I'd be willing to pretend what is true isn't and get along normally (albeit superficially because we'd all be hiding from the troof) with folks in life if i could find some use and satisfaction with it. But, since i am officially ostracized, i have no reason or incentive to pretend what is true isn't to get along in life. I'm a pragmatist here.
Secondly, 'world construction' can only be marxist... so if you aren't tryna do marxism, you're just waffling or building something else. An outhouse, maybe? A circus? A golf course!

Re: God and morality
With me, we are also faced with the paradox of the nihilist, AJ. One could say of me: for someone who thinks everything is for nought, that guy sure is having a helluva good time.
If the nihilist enjoys himself, is he really a nihilist. This is why N divided nihilists into passive and active. Passive nihilists are emos and edgelords (Mick you rock), while active nihilists are your Novatores, Stirners, and Bradys. These nihilists are artists that take the raw material of meaningless and engage it with aggressive and creative force. They do not resign but indulge in it.
For example. If i blew up the judicial system, that act would grant the judicial system more value than it ever had before. Why. Well, until and unless it is blown up, it has no meaning... is just an ongoing farce, etc. By coming into contact with me, the judicial system has made itself relevant by making its own destruction necessary for it to be meaningful. It reveals and destroys itself through me.
Now, here you could call this nihilism, but its purpose is creative even though it manifests as destruction. Who could say that blowing up a judicial system isn't progress? I mean right minded people... not u guys. You know what i mean.
I also don't feel like a nihilist. I feel like an expeditionist, or a satyr, or a guerrilla fighter... and you won't find me locked up in a basement playing video games and listening to Avenged Sevenfold.
Maybe 'scary' would be a better word than 'nihilistic'.
