Then there's this. He and Myra (officer Hess) would read the papers, find crimes of animal cruelty, and then go throw rocks and bottles through the windows of whoever was charged with it. This conflicts with the idea of him torturing animals.

However, he may have tortured animals as a child and then realized later through self-examination that this was misplaced anger and that it's the humans, not the animals, that are contemptible. He may have later overcompensated for or redeemed himself from that early behavior by becoming a defender of animals.

My only beef with Mr. Brady is the gay stuff. I just. don't. understand it. It also makes it difficult for me to call such a sociopathic male the ideal type. To me, homosexuality expresses some kind of feeling of inferiority to other males... the sexual domination (as the pitcher) of another male being the symbolic assertion of power-over-the-male to compensate for the inferiority complex. What do we make of Mr. Brady's claim to have seen The Green Face Of Death?

Alright, let me show you what's going on here with these 'perfect crime' wanna be Nietzsche readin' Nazi types killers.

If you commit your crime for the purposes of proving to yourself that you are above the morality of the herd (see Hitchcock's Rope) and don't/wouldn't enjoy the crime for itself and without it being a means for the proof you want, you aren't a real sociopath. What you are is a nervous and uncertain person of your own uniqueness and power who is needing the Other to establish himself as such.

The real deal kills for expediency. If a rapist, to dispose of witnesses... not assert some fantasy symbolic control or possession over the Other. Loeb and Leopold were two such examples. Psychopathy must not be the spiritualization of personality disorder! True psychopathy should have no hidden tunnels in the psyche. If it does, one is a victim of one's own multifarious subterranean forces as when they were a child.
