No, that is not quite right, Gary. We have been edging toward war (I mean on a larger, world-level) for possibly as long as a decade. The Mid East stuff has been going on for 30 years. The US is in a position -- I refer to geo-political necessities -- that it 'must' control Venezuelan oil production. And the province of Alberta is also looking appetizing. There are pretty big adjustments going on in the world and a good deal of fear and apprehension.

I suggest budgeting the time to consider the implication of the conversation between these 4 men, 3 who are 'experts' in their field. It helped me to understand the *larger picture* better.

I still am very much of the opinion that Trump's Iran attack was a miserable and destructive act. It is being described as possibly the worst policy blunder in US history. But, I continue to think, there may be a miraculous (it would have to be) turning of the tide. I put that at 15%.

Interesting video. All three of them have their heads in the clouds and are completely overlooking the obvious. The world doesn't need to keep doing what it's been doing for the past 2000 years. It needs to change--radically. It needs to learn to coexist without destroying itself because we've gotten to a point where we are very likely to lose the struggle for survival as a species. These commentators you watch are mindless talking heads that have no coherent cause or understanding unifying their various observations. They're essentially like sports commentators. The world is missing a unifying ethic, something that particular religions have provided for particular relatively isolated groups in the past but which, as an ensemble of pre-scientific speculative endeavors, have all failed to unify. The world is getting more tightly tied. People aren't separated by mountains and oceans as they once were. And we're all moving toward disaster, whether climate- or strife-related.

Some of my very best friends have been married men. First, the exploitation of events and revelations of what ‘the other side’ is doing, or proposing, is very common today as everyone is or should be aware. Some ex-border patrol official went on Tucker Carlson to claim there were 100 million illegals (or new arrivals). Obviously impossible. But the narrative evokes outrage and induces listeners to become less tolerant.

The Left-Democrat-Progressives do the same thing, but their activism is far more successful and the resistance actions taken by them have been far more serious and consequential. During the Biden administration there were serious riots, immense property destruction, burning down city centers, rampages of indignant activists pulling down statues of cultural figures, and not to mention so much attitude-activism springing from DEI hysteria.

If the “Right” had rampaged in any similar way there would be no end to the replay of it, the moral outrage, the hand-wringing and other manifestations.

It was certainly encouraged, but as a phenomenon it was also connected to, or powered by, a rather massive choice to disregard established laws and certainly mores, which resulted in presenting to the world a view that the border was open. And millions received the message and responded. Who specifically did this? Many interests were involved, and an administration.

Do you see, Mick? what nuanced and reasonable thinking brings to us? A realistic and fair picture. Neutral as Brother Fanman uses the term.

Was this ultimately to the advantage of either the Democrats or the less defined population adamantly opposed to Rightwing nationalism that disfavors demographic transformation? I think in the long run yes, but in the shirt run the reality of their complicity, as well as the appearance of it, has worked against them.
