Enjoy this while we can
The time lags navigating the forum are getting very noticeable again. Is technology really getting us anywhere other than closer to mass extinction from the overuse of the limited resources available on Earth? If we are working diligently toward our own extermination, is there no way to stop? Would there simply be no way for humans to change direction if we were headed off a cliff? Is sitting here and staring at impending disaster coming closer and closer really all we can do? How depressing. How can any cognizant person be optimistic?

Words do not know they are words. This entire mental construction is one humongous unwritten story in the form of symbols with associated meaning.
Once upon a time in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him. And all things known know nothing.
Brain scans reveal that decisions happen seven seconds before man decides. The scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences reveal that human decisions are made seconds before humans become aware of them.
Words, or knowledge can only capture the exact essence of linguistic arbitrariness: words are completely hollow symbols we've collectively agreed to attach meaning to, but they don't inherently contain that meaning. In a dream signs and words never hold meaning in and of themselves they only gain it by pointing to other words, creating a never-ending chain of meaning where the "word" itself is completely blind to what it’s doing.

- Sacrificing people to save their environment was popular in pre-Columbian cultures.
- In modern, scientific France, keeping summertime heat inside will supposedly save their environment.
- AC was invented in the USA back in the olden days when folks were sacrificing kith and kin by slow-cooking in brownstones because they couldn’t transfer heat from inside, to outside.
- Thank you, USA, for revealing the gifts of invention such as AC that are naturally hidden within infinite potentiality, to be revealed when needed.
- AC was needed to end Brownstonian human sacrifices to heat.
- AC is needed to end the French sacrifices to heat.
- Some unknown force, probably a foreign disease of biblical-level intensity, was needed to put a sudden end to the pre-Columbian sacrifices.
