Even the heaviest christian parables no longer hold currency today. Today, if you don't strip all your clothes off and kneel in the middle of a road at night in a thunderstorm and raise your arms toward the thundering black clouds above crying and wailing and begging to be struck by lightning, then you ain't doing a Great Surrender. Thus, like Rimbaud, i wish to be stricken with all things torturous and insufferable. I want to live during a great famine, to be diseased, starving, forced to labor mindlessly and without any human contact unless to be abused, betrayed and forsaken. These things do i wish so that i might become a true poet.
More like a "great cry of frustration". Who can fight ignorance with science if people don't believe in science to begin with?

Why do some people believe that God is "with" them? Or is the only person who can ask such a question clearly someone who God isn't "with"?

This world is a complete write-off.

The devil delights, and God punishes. The world is "fallen" and evil, yet the God who created it is "benevolent". I'll never understand religion. Such is the holy babble. I'm sorry I ever tried the "Celebrate Recovery" program of the Christian church. That stupid girl who took all my money was the one who suggested it. Now I'm miserable all the time. Is there anyone out there who knows how to exorcise Yahweh from a person's mind?

EDIT: OF course, giving all my money to the girl probably makes me the "stupid" one of the two of us. Live and learn, I guess.

What makes someone think about God so much?

Why doesn't that someone just say "God talk is BS", "It's not possible to decide who is right about God", "God is not necessary"?

I get superstitious about numbers. The week before I had my first psychosis, I played the local lottery with the number 13131313. I can't seem to help being a sucker for cultists. They see me coming and polish their orbs.

I don't understand what you get out this. What's the positive?

You don't get a definite answer about God.

And the discussions seem to make you miserable more than anything.

Nationalism and exploitation will always win because in order to lose, they would have to become the opposite of what they are. At which point, someone else comes along, seizes the opportunity, and picks up the slack. The world will always be a shitfest for as long as there are living beings in it. Leaving this world will be no great loss for me.

Other than being annoying, Christians are otherwise harmless (if they remain true to Christ).

If humans weren't irrational, we'd be slaves to logic.

What is "true to Christ"?

I'm sure you will get lots of answers to that.

And is it harmless?

If everyone refused to have a master, then nothing beyond basic survival would ever get done. So, how does an anarchist become his own master without becoming the master of others? And how does a person who is a master of himself not become a slave to himself?

If humans were slaves to logic, they would also be slaves to the irrational.
The keyword is not logic, humans, nor irrational.
The keyword is enslavement, i.e., attachment.

To be attached to the irrational, or to be attached to logic, is enslavement.
It's like being mindlessly attached to thoughts that control your actions.

However, logic is the key to re-integration into any and all relationship phenomena (organic and inorganic) revealed to you by the presence of the awareness that you are ... re-integration into the here and now, minus the impositions.

Because we exist in a predatory universe where consumption begats life, do not think that logic or irrationality are your friends. Logic and irrationality will enslave you the first chance they get, which is why they must serve you.

They are your servants, not your masters.

Neither is delusion your master.

That's a good question. There's an apocryphal book, The Gospel of Thomas, that was not included in the Bible, where Jesus kills a couple of people in his childhood years (before he fully matured) out of anger toward something they did to him. Of course, he let the Romans kill him without striking them down, so I don't know. I guess it would depend upon what kind of mood Jesus is in when you meet him, and what you do to him?

So are you a master, a slave, both, neither, or all of the above?

Questions can be your master, your retreat from thought, and the comfort blanket of enslavement that appeals to socialists.

Considering that the right question is half of the right answer, why entertain wrong questions if not to seek the wrong answer?

(Asking what the right question is, is not the right question).

However ... I did provide the right question, as a full of thought courtesy for the thought-challenged to answer.
