Hi Greatest I Am, I think I have to agree with you. My view is, if we are to be judged, the fairest judgment we could receive, would be to judge ourselves. Having accepted this, allowed me to ‘see’ justifications that could never have existed if they were based on either mine or others opinions.

The Bible says, try all things and cling to the things you find good, paraphrased of course. What life has shown me, is that most of the things whose experiences I cherish as being my most valuable, would be called ‘sin’ by a great many others. And most others would be making their judgments based on opinions, they lacking the experience themselves.

My sole guide and simple judgment for what is sin is, if you harm another, either by word or deed, it is sin. Period! No gray, no opinion, and I think also no margin for error. So yes, sin can be good or bad. I just happen to thankful and cherish mine. I do not envy those who can boast little sin.

I do not agree with your terms though.

Doing evil to another is a requirement of an evolving species.

If someone else owns the mark, first place on something perhaps, it is to us to try to displace him.

If we did not, we would be breeding with losers instead of winners. Our worst instead of our best.

Question "Greatest" --- are there more "losers" than "winners"? As time passes, do the "losers" make up an ever increasing percentage of the population and the "winners" an ever smaller percentage? If you answered "yes" to those then you are confusing who the winners and losers are in evolutionary terms.

Nor does evolution usually involve "doing evil" to species fellows. In fact, THAT sort of direct competition is very rare. It's a "plus sum" game << the "fitter" individual can do something IN ADDITION to what the others can do >>
