Trump's supporters are projecting, as ever.

To fully understand what’s going on, it’s important to know the fundamental differences between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans need a savior, a politician who will make them feel good, smart, and morally superior. A politician who will provide for their needs and smite their enemies. A superhuman being capable of brushing aside trifles like the Constitution and the rule of law to secure Racist/Fascist policies.

Democrats are inherently wary of politicians, just as they were in 2015 when Trump announced his candidacy. They are, however, willing to be pleasantly surprised. They’re not looking for saviors or good feelz. They’re looking for a leader who will uphold the Constitution and enforce the rule of law. They’re looking for the values embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They want politicians to keep their promises, employ common sense, and above all, produce—do what they elected them to do.

Well, hello there!

That post by me was quite a while ago. Still applies!

(As has been widely acknowledged...) Much of the Trump fanaticism appears to hinge on some kind of identity cult, and such cultists seem committed to doubling-down to ever more insane degrees. As long as they never admit they're wrong, nobody can force it out of them or 'catch them'. Those who have the clarity and courage to step out of it set the admirable example of evolving beyond temporary/human delusion and acknowledging that they are not ultimately defined by it.

Is anybody/anything really worth worshipping, or deserve to be catered to? Are we not self-directive and ever-questioning in this vast landscape of human delusions/deceptions?

There are many voices and perspectives that matter all over this planet. No one has the right to say how everyone must be.

Like you said, SOB, we're all of the same stuff in countless different forms. Failure to see that is very small-minded.

It's clearly natural that humankind evolves in many different ways... whether or not any of us understand or agree with all of it. More is understandable when we are willing to see more beyond ourselves.

Like I've always said, 'all humans should stand hand in hand and sing the song of life'. It's a beautiful thing, what this universe has given us! Someone needs to bring home the big bacon now that Hunter’s artwork isn’t selling anymore, and it looks like mama Jill’s ambition left to float the boat needs some balancing, and Joe sees other priorities in his vision of the big picture. But the younger ones have a big life-style and big expenses. The Democrats cut old Joe out to pasture and out of relevance, but would they let him become the first bankrupt president?

Jill has just come out in a recent interview, and admitted that during the debate, she thought Joe had had a stroke, he was so incapable. But at the time, you'll recall, she said to her husband, "Joe, you did great; you answered every question." Gaslighting, much?

This is the amazing thing about the political atmosphere in America today. They seem to have absolutely no need for the truth. They operate entirely without reference to reality, and just keep going on denials. But there are some facts that now are undeniable; unfortunately, too late for them to make a difference.

What we all know -- and can't not know -- is that the Dems put up a candidate who was senile, and whom they knew to be senile. And they made him president, too, and then ran the country by puppeting him. They lied when they said he was mentally sharp or even mentally present, most of the time. And they knew we knew they were lying, but it wasn't about what we knew; it was about what they could get away with pretending.

History will look back on this period of American politics as a low point for truth, for integrity, for democracy...but still perhaps not the lowest US politics will go. We will have to see.
