I am not certain if the King is used to having so many applause breaks while he is speaking

holding a congressman hostage...

ironic... the head of the church is speaking positively about said faith...

making sure our futures remain tied militarily and economically...

mentioning the 250th anniversary of America...

Before Charles III visited, workmen in Washington put up a few Australian flags "by mistake".

But in fact it wasn't the "wrong flag", because the King of Australia was also visiting. So was the King of Canada ("the 51st state!") and the King of New Zealand. They tend to travel together. Invite one, you get them all. It would have been appropriate to have all four flags flying there.
