going to the moon

How does science work? And what's all this about quantum mechanics?

Vanishing with no car, no keys, no wallet, no phone; no pool, no pets, no cigarettes, although a couple of those scientists in the link were said to have had weapons. Scientists live in rough neighborhoods, perhaps selected by unknown powers to round out a diverse collection. The White House is investigating via its minions.

inside the hollow moon, not so much...

Do we? Do we really know that?

1. Caught between orders about what he could say, and what he saw, the scientist retreated into inarticulate emotion.

or

2. Nursing political ambitions, the scientist hinted at a religious conversion to make himself appealing to the new voting block of young, politically active Christians.

I can't find any 'actual' news about it, only conspiracy garbage. And it's gone from them being 'nuclear scientists' to 'UFO scientists' Is there any such thing as a 'UFO' scientist? Really? How would they conduct their research and experimentation? The closest thing I can think of would be scientists who take the time to debunk alien UFO claims.
There's also a very big difference between dying and vanishing. Presumably the dead ones had a cause of death. A couple seem to be suicides. We would need to know the size of the group that these 10 or eleven are a percentage of. If it's only a few dozen then yes, there's an anomaly. If it's tens of thousands (America has a very big population) then no. People die and go missing from every group
If an American religious maniac like Walker is spreading this nonsense then you know there must be 'something' wrong with it and that it will have nothing to do with science or facts.

Scotty, it has to with beaming up, not beaming down into the depths of No.
(Beaming up is like a brain squall, which is similar to brainstorming, but brainstorming requires at least two to tango.)

People with scientific secrets could be at large, in unknown places.
(In Atlas Shrugged the missed folks were living small, then turned into at large.)

Missing folks from every group makes for a diverse collection.
