With the nation mired in a war that may be of existential significance, It may be possible if enough people rally behind the Republicans that the Trump administration will be able to declare a national emergency and possibly suspend future elections for some time, if not indefinitely.

From what I've heard just today, the Trump administration expects any agreement with Iran to take approximately six months or more creating an intentional justification to suspend future elections. A scenario in which any conflict with Iran - or anyone that is not a nuclear power for that matter - couldn't be more welcome inventing the perfect excuse to first suspend elections and then never allowing the suspension to cease; it signifies the end of the old Constitution and the beginning of a new one. Considering how often Trump has been allowed to override the Constitution even without a war, that possibility is not to be discounted. The US currently seems incapable defending the mandate which created it...something I never believed could happen.

The world would obviously be a better place if everyone were theist and not anti-theist. Why? Because God created all that is and to be against God is to be against all that is. It's the very definition of evil itself to be opposed to something. It's evil by definition not to praise the creator of all that is. It doesn't matter. The world is pretty much over. My leaders have once again made my country into the most despicable one on Earth. Chomsky told people not to vote for the Republicans, that they were even more evil than the Democrats. He tried to warn people not to vote for them. But they wouldn't listen. Now the Republicans have basically taken us all to hell. Many of us knew this was going to happen. We could see it coming from miles away, a reckless group wrecking everything. But there was nothing we could do to stop it. Once again, our hands are dripping red from another blood bath. The Republicans are a curse on this Earth. The best thing the Republicans can do for the world now is off themselves for what they've done to us. But they won't. They'll take us all with them.

Wow, I don't disagree with you, but in my experience, it is unusual for Americans to have such clarity. It belongs in both, I would say, nothing believes lies are better than truth for manipulating a population than a government propaganda machine. It is not just during wartime that it tells the population that others are its, are somewhat less than human. In most countries, if they are doing that in a big way, they allow no counterbalance, and people in general are not aware they are being manipulated. Now that is an evil power at work. I suspect, however, the West has a mastery of this evil power the rest of the world suffers under, as its nature arose from Empire and colonialism, another word for slavery --Machivilli, where are you?
