That's 26.6F, in case anyone was wondering, but either way, a bit chilly. I don't mind it being cold when I'm hiking, for example, in fact I prefer it, but when I'm stuck at work, out on the pitch, as I will be later, it's not so good. The clients are allowed to pile on as many layers of clothing as they like, so why aren't we?
This latest cold snap, which seems to have been with us, more or less, for over a week now, disrupting my sleep, has induced a number of interesting dreams, though. This morning's offering from my subconscious was all about moving house. I was at an estate agent's and had somehow acquired the cash to buy a large, rambling house right on the edge of the city. I was asking the estate agent all sorts of stupid questions, such as "What happens next?" repeatedly, and two women who worked there kept on laughing at me. Yesterday's dream, however, was all about nail clippers, of all things. My brother had taken mine and hidden them in his bedroom. Suspecting this, I went in there and shouted at him, and he gave them back. The previous day's dream, however, was far more interesting, though I can't really remember all the details now, sadly. In short, I had gone to London for the weekend with my best friend's boyfriend, who I really fancied for some reason. Very strange. Not only would I never do something so disreputable, I would never voluntarily go to London, either.

It's now plus 4 degrees, which is quite a big change.

I am glad you brought up degrees. This topic leads to the topic of Constructability in Geometry. So, I have been very negligent in making what it means so I will spend some time, putting it down in words, and then demonstrated in a video. The meaning of constructability has been a topic that goes far back in history, even though there is a simple, provable clear answer.
When I was going to school in Denver, it would get so cold that your nostril's immediately stuck together with your first attempt to breathe in the air. It was wonderful.
One time, I superglued a guy's pockets shut in his coat so he could not grab his gloves. Every one laughed when he tried to get them. Military jackets use zippers on the pockets. Easy to glue them shut.
We had access to large jars of what later became superglue, it was use to glue the ring on the tv monitors so that they did not shift in flight. But, one time, some glue dripped onto another container and blew the door off the fridge. Both were kept in the fridge. So, an explosive can be made with it, but I do not recall what the other container had in it.
Maybe that is why commercial superglue comes in very small quantities.

'Sabbaged'? Is that 'god language'? Of course he would have to laugh. He was probably low down on the male pecking order.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 7:37 pmBut I still cannot even approach your sadness. I am just an amateur compared to you. It's 11C this morning. What a difference a day can make.

You sound bored. I never use that phrase, I use "What a difference a daze can make.
I always stay focused on my life goal, the grammar book project. It keeps me challenged. I do get moody, because I am trying to push myself, but it takes time to figure out in which direction I need to go with the project. When I figure it out, I can stay on that trail. There are always choices to make, to test, self correct, etc. And there are two types of problems, walking a ladder with figures and math, and then there are people where there really are no available paths to travel. No matter how complex, I have never failed at walking through a figure, and never succeeded with a person who is actually undefined.
