I'm thrilled to join this forum! It's a challenge nowadays to find peers willing to engage in philosophical debates.
I'm 55 years old, a father of 4, and my day job involves technology consulting. I've recently published my debut novel: SMIRCH - God is Gambling to Survive. My book explores the origins of consciousness, challenges some convictions about evolution and religion, and speculates about the slim chance that humanity's existence in this vast universe might have some cosmic purpose after all.
I hope to be inspired by discussions about these topics and others with the learned fellow subscribers of this site. Maybe I'll come up with ideas for the sequel to SMIRCH. I should hurry, though - because by the end of the first book I left my protagonist in quite a predicament...
