Why This Unchosen Life?
We were born into this world without any desire for it, without even being aware of it. Why wasn’t it possible that someone else could have existed instead of me? Every single day, thousands of children are born, and perhaps everything happens randomly — but why am I part of this randomness? There could have been anyone else. Then what kind of randomness is this?
What a mystery this world is. People are born without their choice, without choosing their name, their upbringing, or even the end of their life. We have absolutely no control over how life begins. Even during our lifetime, countless things happen inside our bodies without our awareness.
But the question is: why are we in this world? Is life only about eating, drinking, making a career, and engaging in worldly affairs? If the answer is yes, then I think there is no deeper meaning to living. In that case, death would seem better, since by dying, everything would simply end, making today and tomorrow the same.
Yet another question arises: if our coming into this world is beyond our control, then who knows — what if, after death, there is another beginning, just like this one...?

Re: Why This Unchosen Life?
There are no others. All of life is a seamless ocean of infinite possibility. There’s no break or point at where one single separate consciousness begins and ends. Separate consciousnesses are illusory. There’s only one consciousness which is like the glue that bonds everything together as one whole indivisible absolute reality.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 1:48 pm We were born into this world without any desire for it, without even being aware of it. Infinite consciousness is seamlessly generated as it is birthless and deathless.
Consciousness is what is beating the heart, is what is breathing the breath, and thinking thoughts.
Consciousness is every sense perception. There’s no such thing as death for consciousness because consciousness was never born.
This is not too difficult to grasp especially since no one who believes they have been born ever chose their birth, nor did they ever bear actual witness to their own birth or death, because what you think you are is unknowable actually. Nothing can know itself as an object. And if consciousness is not an object, then what is it? That question is unanswerable. Or, it’s the ONE question to ALL our answers.
Consciousness is not an object that can be known. Therefore no thing is knowing itself, and that’s what consciousness is.
There’s just the void of consciousness aware of the void of consciousness. Being aware of aliveness is identical to being aware of death, both are the same aware conscious state. To be conscious of consciousness is simultaneously being aware of death. It’s all the same one seamless reality infinitely for eternity.
Re: Why This Unchosen Life?
There’s nothing I have to say that has not been said millions of times before. It’s all known to everyone. We’re all parrots thinking and speaking the exact same thoughts over and over again in many different ways. Ultimately consciousness has never aged, moved, or changed. It’s the infinite formless dreamer in which every possible dream has appeared and disappeared. Where has yesterday gone, did yesterday ever happen. Such is the weirdness of consciousness.
Re: Why This Unchosen Life?
That is an impossibility.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 1:48 pm We were born into this world without any desire for it, without even being aware of it. Why wasn’t it possible that someone else could have existed instead of me?
'you' exist only because that body of matter was born.
Also, it is also very obvious that someone else is already actually existing anyway.
But, just like 'you' 'they' have to be 'the one' existing, because that human body, which 'you' and 'they' exist within, came to exist.
'you' are confusing the 'I', Itself, with 'you', which is just a small 'i'.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 1:48 pm Every single day, thousands of children are born, and perhaps everything happens randomly — but why am I part of this randomness?
But there could not have been anyone else. Once 'you' begin to realise and comprehend this Fact, then 'you' are the way to learning, and understanding, far more, here.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 1:48 pm There could have been anyone else. Then what kind of randomness is this?
To 'you' maybe, but not to 'I', at all.
To learn, and teach. But, not necessarily in that order.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 1:48 pm People are born without their choice, without choosing their name, their upbringing, or even the end of their life. Not at all.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 1:48 pm Is life only about eating, drinking, making a career, and engaging in worldly affairs?
But, the answer is, 'No'. So, the rest is moot.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 1:48 pm If the answer is yes, then I think there is no deeper meaning to living. In that case, death would seem better, since by dying, everything would simply end, making today and tomorrow the same.

So, that is who.

But, it is not. The One question, to all of the so-called 'your answers' is,
'What is the answer that will solve all of our questions?'
Which, by the way, 'the answer' to also 'the solution' to all of 'your problems', as well.
But, It is already known.
Are 'you' aware of how many times you claim some thing is unknown, based solely on just 'you' not yet knowing the answer?
And, thus why 'you' are, still, on the quest to knowing they 'self'.Fairy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 8:00 am There’s just the void of consciousness aware of the void of consciousness. Which, by the way, some of 'us', or parts of 'I' have already reached, and thus are already HERE.

I strongly disagree.
There’s nothing to reach or achieve. There are no stragglers still struggling to comprehend anything about the self, or are still on the quest to knowing thy self. Nor is there any one who has completed their quest in getting to know thy self.
All those assumptions belong to the illusory dream world of artificial separation, namely, the ego.

Age, one question for you. Do you ever agree with anything anyone says on this forum, or are you on a relentless mission to endlessly remind other posters that they are not where you are yet when it comes to the real and true understanding of these metaphysical topics?

WHY THIS UNCHOSEN LIFE?
Answer: Nothing chose life. Meaning nothing exists, meaning, nothing cannot not exist. That’s what you are, you are nothing living forever eternal, there’s simply no choice in the matter.

Re: Why This Unchosen Life?
If there is no choice about our existence from our side, that itself points to a powerful cause beyond this chain — a will that precedes all randomness. Otherwise, it would promote an endless chain of unchosen lives, one after another, with no origin of choice at all, which is impossible. So there must be someone who possesses real will — someone who initiated existence and controls this chain of unchosen lives. And this encourages us to seek and know that powerful cause, through whom this chain of unchosen lives began.

The way I see this is that everyone is you. There is no you because there’s no other than you.abdullah masud wrote: ↑Tue Nov 11, 2025 8:46 amIf there is no choice about our existence from our side, that itself points to a powerful cause beyond this chain — a will that precedes all randomness. You’re the one neo.
Did this one choose life and death? I don’t know, do you know?
Re: Why This Unchosen Life?
You have always existed, you can’t possibly be never not here. You are infinity.
You are aware of choice within your dream only. Choice therefore must be an imaginary choice, not real, but only appearing to be real.
That’s a not knowing knowing, the divine paradox that is necessary for awareness to know and interact with itself.

Your reflection touches on profound questions about existence and awareness. Every individual can be seen as a distinct conscious being, yet all life depends on an ultimate source or reality that sustains existence.Fairy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 11, 2025 8:59 am You have always existed, you can’t possibly be never not here. Regarding choice, awareness grants humans real agency within the framework of reality. Decisions are meaningful and carry consequences, even though the ultimate unfolding of the universe is guided by a power beyond our control. Awareness allows us to interact with the world, understand ourselves, and seek understanding of the greater whole.
The so-called “divine paradox” can be interpreted as the mystery of finite beings reflecting an infinite source: conscious beings striving to know and act, yet remaining distinct from the ultimate origin. Awareness is real, choice is real, and existence continually points beyond itself.
