Think about the firepower of all the nuclear States on erf combined. Before an invader ship could even enter our atmosphere, it would face a barrage of nuclear missles that would turn those ships into space mulch unless they had some badass shields... and i doubt they do... not against a thermonuclear blast. That's like being punched by The Silver Surfer or Jean Grey when she went level 5. You can't just walk away from something like that.
Do you know why the first reaction from so many people from the country you live in in relation to 'others' is almost always fight, kill, and defend, and it would not matter at all how friendly the 'others' are?

If no, then discovering and understanding why would be a great lesson for you, and others.

Also, if you think or believe your 'weapons', in the days when this is being written, are of any worth and usefulness, then remember you human beings also thought spears and rocks were useful.
promethean75 wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 12:55 pm If they got through this, they would be met with another wave of missles and a greeting party of fighter jets so thick it would darken the sky like a swarm of locusts. The oceans would be teaming with ships. When they landed in the major cities there would be herds of armored vehicles, tanks, armed soldiers and civilians, little old ladies swinging their purses like morning-stars. Everyone would be fighting back. It would be like Winston Churchill giving his never surrender speech all.over again. My god it would be glorious!
LOL In the days when this is being written you human beings would not stand a chance.

And the more you 'try to' fight and attack the more stupider and foolish you look.
promethean75 wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 12:55 pm Their biggest problem: refueling their machines. Are they powered by batteries, directly solar powered or does a ship sit in the sky harvesting solar power for battery cells, do they go back to the ship to switch out batteries or are they delivered, do they build power stations on the ground that produce energy cells for the machines, etc.
Here, 'we' have another prime example of just how narrowed and closed the adult human beings had become, back in the days when this was being written.

Once again, 'this one' only cares, and thinks, about it and its lot.

Which is just what those in specific religious groups who see others, as 'others', and not see others as 'one of us', do. In fact "accelafine" does not just see others as 'others' but actual hates 'them' as well. Which explains how and why it applauds and praises the killing, maiming, and starving if children and babies, as long as 'they' are not 'one of us'.

"Are there things called 'zigglnipters'?"

That is an excellent question, much like the question, "Is there god." The most excellent answer I give to both these questions is, "I have no idea what it is that you're asking me if exists or not, so i can't answer the questions. "

Now here's where it gets tricky. One might say, "god is the father that rules the heavens and the erf," and i might say, "Hey, i can get a picture of what you're saying in my mind... so i can understand what you're saying and disagree or not."

But can I?

I know what a father is, i know what 'rule' means, and i know what the erf is... but i have no idea what a father that tells its erf what to do and resides in heaven is. None of the contexts of understanding are the same. A father is a male organism that orders and disciplines other people and who may live in a castle... but how could there be a father that wasn't a male organism who told whole galaxies what to do from the balacony of his heaven fortress? I'm not even sure what that would look like. I can't even really picture this as i could a unicorn, in fact. The unicorn is just an impossible combination of real properties (horns, wings, and horses are real), but this god doesn't even have any physical father properties. Like i couldn't say, "a god is what is formed when a combination of properties exist... one being x, what fathers have" because this god doesn't have any xs. I'm at a total loss, and i draw a blank.

All this falls under the rubric of anthropomorphic reasoning. A 'cause' and 'orderer' of the universe logically need not possess any of the qualities that man possesses. It's only because man is anthropocentrically baffled by the fact that he can ask the question and that the universe has been brought to this point where there are question asking creatures. He thinks the cause of the universe has to also be intelligent and have a special relationship to him, the intelligent question asking creature.

I have it on good authority that if you ride in a banana truck on a mountain road you are likely to be chased by monkeys, and it made for pretty good story.

As I approached the checkout lady at the Box Store, a woman I had never met before, she pointed at me and said, “Executive.” I didn’t react, since I didn’t know what she meant. I was appropriately but casually dressed for the weather and for the occasion of wandering in a huge warehouse filled to the rafters with food and goods and many, many different nationalities and languages. I carried two cold-weather shirts and a slip of paper tucked under one of the collars, a note from an employee for a purchase that was locked up and guarded. (made necessary by the revenue generating Windows 10 scare). The lady asked for my executive card and I said all I had was the standard issue, so very quickly she talked me into upgrading that would pay for itself due to the savings on the locked up item. At first I figured she might have thought I was a sucker for a scam, but when she explained the logic of her deduction, I had to agree with her. No doubt she gets employee bonus points for customer upgrades to executive status. The lady behind me was a bit put out at the delay and needless chat-chat so the cashier called over another lady who escorted me to pick up my purchase, which I had never seen happen in a retail warehouse, although it has happened elsewhere. As I passed a man, the muscle of the two person checkout team, he said, welcome to the executive club, and I almost laughed but kept the poker face. The lady whipped out a fancy shopping bag, extra sturdy and covered with bright graphics of travel destinations that were hinted at in the executive sales pitch. And then, she escorted me all the way to the unarmed door guard who was far away, where I presented my receipt and opened the fancy bag for his inspection. He said ah, two items and I softly said no, three. He quickly agreed, then marked the receipt with a Sharpie imitation of his initials, and then set me free from all the attention, free to wander out to the wheels while wondering, wtf just happened?

Later I wondered, will it be like this in the stores of NYC, where Commiedani promises government outlets of goods, where real estate is too expensive for Big Competitive Retail? Will opportunists be soliciting informal but binding window-protection services from the gubberment stores? I also wondered, so this is what it’s like to wander through a box store without the yogini. Involuntarily celibate men take note, and at least realize that the Big Retail Experience that makes possible a bit of interesting and pleasant chit-chat, is directly made possible by Capitalism.

Now, people talk about Capitalism, but the truth of the matter, check out what people throw away every week. Check out the pollution and disappearing land fills because of over consumption. You make me laugh.

I have lived my life as a dumpster diver, and learnt how to repair things. Or, I buy things used. When you learn a trade, as I did, electronics, it is just like that, all repair, learn how to read schematics, trace signals, etc. Capitalism exists because the average joe is too fucking lazy to learn how to repair or build anything, he would rather spend a life in debt, than move his ass to learn.
So, I say fuck those who bitch about capitalism they got it because they do not care that they are cattle.
I once built a canopied oak bed, I got the oak, from tossed out Harley Davison Motor Cycle pallets. The bed was so heavy, it had to be partly disassembled to move it cross the room. I tongue oiled the whole thing, looked great.

Secondly, you can choose not to buy till they bring the price down to what you want. If you cannot control yourself and just have to have it, you are like a dog riding a leg.

What prices are is factually a democratic process, if people will not buy until the price is fair, then markets will be fair. No one forces anyone to buy without haggling. If you do not buy used items, they will end up as garbage too soon.

I once bear hugged an old cigarette machine from a dump, it took 35cents to buy a pack out of it. Nice retro piece.

Capitalism is an inanimate object, why do you bitch at the dirt? It is because you are too lazy to take responsibility for your actions.
What is different from learning from the past and dumpster diving? You get free material to reshape anything you are capable of.
You sound like a whinny ass bitch.
There was a time when what you find in the garbage today would have bought you a kingdom.
Toys cannot free you of responsibility.

The most exciting thing I ever found in the dumpster, metaphorically speaking, is Euclid's Elements. And if you view my work, you can see I am rebuilding it to something all inclusive and amazing.

If you actually think that you are paying too much for your consumption, explain why the earth is being destroyed by garbage?

Somehow that sounds backwards, boss. Wasn't it the freedom of the new merchant markets that inspired people and gave them opportunity and incentive to produce and invent that was the stimulus of capitalism?

You constantly misuse the word freedom, to mean free from instead of free to, which is typical of the common idiot.
We are born with a job to do, therefore, freedom means free to do our own damned work.

So, if you think that the equality of people by doing their own work is backward, you are just plain fucked.
Every form of logic starts with the notion of equality.

Like so many punk ass wannabe philosophers, too stupid to even know how to start with an equality, always claiming things are magically unequal as the fault of some mystical process.

Alright, let me tell ya what might be happening then. WHAT IF that object was made here on erf and secretly launched years ago. This would explain its nickel composition... something that must be manufactured that doesn't occur naturally. Some kind of end of the world device; germs, a major impact, whatever... the thing's purpose is to swing around the outer planets and then come back toward erf to deliver its package.

Whack-job theory number two: It's a spaceship carrying military personnel dressed in alien costumes who are gonna invade erf in a month or two and trick the world into submitting to martial law. Don and Putin and all them will act like they're under duress, and this is what we must do to appease our new alien overlords.

Discuss.

I confess. I order a pizza, long distance.

Okay, it is a care package. I have been expecting it. I have waited a long time for it. There is a cusp point in human evolution, which most will not understand, it is, nevertheless, here.

At this time in evolution, the savages have in their hands, technology which they should not. They will destroy the earth if not stopped.

Look at the timing, too. Now more than ever is the use of nuclear weapons becoming possible. They've been tuning in to our radio waves and watching all the explosions in Ukraine and Gaza from the observatory they put on the moon when they spliced monkey DNA with designer DNA they cooked up in a lab. Some experimental variation of their own DNA most likely.

So they're watching em "with their tanks and their bombs and their bombs and their guns", as The Cranberries once so eloquently put it, and finally decide to pull the plug on the whole thing because the monkey DNA won out in the vast majority of em over the thousands of years of them being left unattended.

Regarding pizza delivery from other solar systems sometimes you can get the pizza for free if you don't get it in thirty years or less.

How horrible is it when you get your Frisco burger at Hardees and room temperature yellow mayonnaise is oozing through tears in the over-buttered toast where a big gloved thumbprint of some highschool dropout in a hurry to clock out has pressed through the bread? Pretty horrible?

You know when you have to open the sandwich and wipe all the mayonnaise off because the dude plopped a whole spoon of it on the thing.
