Windows on trains don't generally open, so I would have to carry a brick around with me at all times, or something similar. Even then, I'm not sure I could manage to smash it, as they're probably reinforced glass, or something. Furthermore, I certainly wouldn't be able to do so from a position under the table. It's also possible that a brick might be regarded as an offensive weapon, if I were to carry one around, though I suppose the chances of being searched are minimal. I could wrap it up, as if it were something else, which might work. But that still leaves the problem of gaining sufficient leverage from my position under the table, especially as the tables are joined to the wall, directly below the window, meaning that I would have to expose myself, at least partially, to do so. Hmmmmm. Thanks for the suggestion, anyway, I'll give it some more thought.Ansiktsburk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 6:20 amIts not nice to crash in a car either. I don’t think what you refer to has ever happened in my Scandinavian country, famous for our admittance of immigrants and asylum seekers.Maia wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 11:29 am I've always liked a train journey, there's something special about it, perhaps the anticipation of going somewhere interesting, or maybe the sensation of the train itself. I've never felt claustrophobic on a train, unlike, say, in a car, or a plane. So what on earth am I supposed to do if, while peacefully sitting there, listening to a book or music, for example, lost in my own thoughts, I suddenly start hearing terrified screams, and a stampede of people running along the aisle, while a psychotic madman is shouting "Allahu Akbar" behind them?
I'd like to address this question, if I may, to the usual suspects, the apologists for terrorists and rape gangs.
Practically, if possible, pull an emergency stop lever, and hide or throw yourself out the window.

Actually, for a long time, they have this thing that looks like a plain fountain pen, which is actually spring loaded with a hardened pointed steal plunger for the cartridge, you hold it against a window and press the button, and it will shatter a window to pieces.
Here is a listing on Amazon, they are not that expensive. Military grade uses cartradges.

Why not just take a live grenade with you and blow up the whole train.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 7:44 amActually, for a long time, they have this thing that looks like a plain fountain pen, which is actually spring loaded with a hardened pointed steal plunger for the cartridge, you hold it against a window and press the button, and it will shatter a window to pieces.

Imagine a Swede being proud of the fact that his country is turning into an islamist crap-hole with the only tourist attraction being a perpetually 12 year old Jew-hating, demonic hobgoblin.

Re: Train journey to death
Death is everywhere. What do you think is happening in all those deep dark oceans?
Land Animals living wild but never free as they constantly battle to stay alive always on the defensive against predators.
Humans constantly on the defensive against both animal and yes even human predators. Yes, humans are their own predators, why do you think wars have been raging since the dawn of human existence?
Blood, guts, and gore, suffering everywhere, you’re literally walking on the dead decaying rotting corpses of everything that once lived before you, and building your houses upon the dust of millions of dinosaur bones.
Death is the only goal of life. There’s nowhere to get to, nowhere to go, nothing to do here, but to die. You came from death and then struggle to stay alive, only to die anyway, sometimes horribly, all just to return to death once again.
It’s a never ending journey from death to death a torturous painful experience for every sentient creature to endure in infinite ways for all eternity.
Get used to it.

By definition, mankind is not sentient. Mankind is, as Confucius noted, Homo-Superior, in agreement with the Bible, Plato, and the defined function of the human mind.
The term is Literate. You use the definition which makes every form of life sentient, for all of them have some form of sense perception. Sentient, despite what you believe, is just a synonym for a life form.

Do you cut out words and put them in a bucket then shake it around and pull out a word at a time to create your 'philosophical wisdom'? I think there are quite a few on here who use the same technique.Fairy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:28 amPain is pain.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:23 amBy definition, mankind is not sentient. Don’t be scared. Or be in denial. Most people are in denial of thee actual truth, which is God is death, only death is real.accelafine wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:33 amDo you cut out words and put them in a bucket then shake it around and pull out a word at a time to create your 'philosophical wisdom'? The justification for why the UK has turned into such a shithole is because we had an empire, and deserve it. But Sweden never had one, so what's going on there?accelafine wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:15 am Imagine a Swede being proud of the fact that his country has turned into an islamic shit-hole with the only tourist attraction being a perpetually 12 year old Jew-hating, demonic hobgoblin.
Just putting my historian's hat on for a moment, Sweden has, at periods, had what could be called a European empire, of sorts. It had never, ever had a colonial empire, though, so my point still stands.

Re: Train journey to death
There is no human mind. And, there is no defined function for 'that', which does not exist. Or, if there is a 'defined function', for 'that', which does not exist, then 'that definition' is completely worthless and useless, obviously.
Despite what you believe, there is no human mind.
Re: Train journey to death
The 'goal of Life' is to just live, and be alive. Which is just Existence existing, eternally, HERE, and, NOW.Fairy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:16 am Death is everywhere. What do you think is happening in all those deep dark oceans?

And, the Truth is there is no actual 'death'. There is only the, eternal, One, which is just continually changing in shape, and in form. As can be proved by the witnessing of 'matter', itself, just always changing in shape, and in form.
