Nobody said it was. But the defense being offered works the same for both. You don't get to make arbitrary exceptions: if you excuse homosexuality on the basis of "that is what I desire," then the same excuse works for everything else -- that is what THEY desire, so it would be equally legitimate.
Which, of course, is absurd.
