Yes, and he also said that Mexico was going to pay to build the wall, and that he was going to end the war between Russia and Ukraine on "day one," and that on "day one" he was going to bring grocery prices down, etc., etc..
Furthermore, of course, his rich comrades are more than happy to pay for his absurd and wasteful projects in a "quid pro quo" for him saving them billions of dollars in tax cuts.
Which begs the question that if they have that much disposable money to throw away on frivolous nonsense, then why can't they afford to pay a little more in taxes to help out our less fortunate brothers and sisters....
...(And, of course, part of the answer lies in the fact that they can no doubt claim the contributions as tax deductions.)
What the heck is wrong with you, Walker?
Why can't you see how morally wrong it is for Trump to cut back on funding that assists the poor,...
...and to remove thousands and thousands of federal workers from their source of income,...
...and to impose ridiculous ideas (such as outlandish tariffs) that raise the cost-of-living on the vast majority of Americans who can barely afford to buy anything anymore....
...while, at the same time, wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on his weekly golf outings, and millions of taxpayer dollars on military parades for his birthday, and for God knows what else....
...and now this idiotic (gilded age) ballroom foolishness,...
...all for the purpose of finding ways of getting more money into the pockets of himself and his billionaire cronies?
The bottom line is that if anyone is afflicted with TDS*, it is you, Walker...
