80% (!) of the ACA subsidies that are about to expire go to people in states that Trump won in 2024.

Time and time again, Trump and MAGA Republicans will sell out their own voters — all to fund massive tax cuts for the super rich.

Trump and his disciples may not hate America, but they clearly hate the American ethos of freedom, reverence for the separation of church and state, acceptance of the Constitution on which the country was founded (see the court ruling about Trump sending the National Guard to Portland in my home state of Oregon), the rule of free speech (see the court ruling forbidding Trump from persecuting foreign students who protest in favor of Palestine), and any number of other principles on which my country was founded.

The Democrats call this retaliation. Law-abiding folks call it accountability for dirty deeds, amongst other things. The link explains everything.

Levin is a well-recognized constitutional scholar. He wrote the book, The Democrat Party Hates America.

“In Men in Black: How the Supreme Court Is Destroying America, Levin exposes countless examples of outrageous Supreme Court abuses, from promoting racism in college admissions, expelling God and religion from the public square …”

“How a former Klansman and virulently anti-Catholic Supreme Court justice inserted the words 'wall of separation' between church and state in a 1947 Supreme Court decision-a phrase repeated today by those who claim to stand for civil liberty.”

I never wrote that separation of church and state was a constitutional principle. Instead, I claimed Americans have a "reverance for the separation" and that Trump and his disciples hate that. I also wrote that Trump defies the Constitution, a position which Trump-appointed federal judges confirm. The Constitution does ensure religious freedom and prevents the esrablishment of an official state religion. It also protects freedom of speech, a freedom Trump and his evil minions have defied by deporting students who have protested against Israel. These deportations have been declared unconstitutional in federal court.

If the Democrats cry "retaliation", so did Trump when he was prosecuted and convicted. Trump's whinging cries were far louder and more obnoxious, as per his standard persona. I'm surprised that even those who support his policies can stomach his personality, which was despicable from the time when he was a reality TV star.

I know. Kudos for admitting it.
The major complaint about Trump is his public personality.
Most of his critics don't understand, or could give a flying crap, about his policies or about his true public service in a town where that is so often just lip service.

He's gotta be He
What else can he be ...

Really? Why were the Democrats retaliating?
Because he won the election, and then because he lost the next election?

Trump's drive to make the Tish, Comey, et al, corruption accountable is on behalf of every citizen, on behalf of the legitimacy of the legal system, and on behalf of the constitution. Like he said, they're really coming after you, he is just in the way.

(Great turn of phrase. I wonder if he or Steve Miller thought of it.)

This is nonsense. Are you suggesting that Trump's attorneys are investigating every potential case of "corruption" or mortgage fraud? Of course not. Trump is a vindictive, self-centered asshole. In addition, those who support his policies should still decry his personality -- because his public performances have negatively affected decency, good manners public circumspection, honesty, and respect for scientific evidence in the country. His anti-American authoritarianism, his lack of respect for democracy and his rude and crude bombast have emboldened some morons to think that such behavior embodies the American spirit. The bully-pulpit is almost as important to presidential impact as the policies.

Of course it is; it’s Walker you are engaging with and you should know better by now!

I put it like this back in 2017:

… and like this a few months ago:

The Trump administration has been telling porkies since day 1. Walker parrots their lies. Walker has been parroting their lies from day 1.

Walker is no philosopher.

Walker is a lying, self-deceiving fool.

Conversing with Walker is a waste of time. You can't reason with him. I generally try to avoid dealing with him as much as possible.

So this is what “gnashing of teeth” sounds like.
And a duet no less.
I always wondered.

Like I said, folks hate Trump because of his personality. You simply affirm that with personal reasons why, relying more on the image of form than the content of substance.

Well, he may want to do that eventually, get all the bad guys and gals, but one must start somewhere. And what better place to start than with a High Profile Public Official (HPPO) who prosecuted the public for the very crimes that she committed, oh excuse me your honor, allegedly committed, especially a HPPO who likes to proclaim that “no one is above the law.”

Such a high profile case of corruption by a sanctimonious public official, committing very serious crimes while breaking the back of her high horse, in charge of prosecuting other people for the crimes that she was committing … well, that’s going to discourage more corrupt Lefties doing the same thing. It’s going to be a mucho more effective use of his voice than going after some corrupt public official out in the hinterlands that doesn’t get noticed by the outraged Lefty media.
