Check in Thread
Nothing else to talk about? Post here and tell us all how you are feeling.
I'll start. I've been anxious, angry, and agitated lately because I recently switched my old computer out because it wouldn't run Windows 11 and now I get news constantly on my browser home page. I used to have the news blocked on my old computer so that I seldom see it. With this new computer, seeing the news all the time just makes me anxious, angry and agitated.
That's no way to live and no way to come to a forum all wound up by click bait that is designed to excite and incense us and keep us clicking on emotive, sensationalist news articles. So I have changed my home page and new page settings to the Google search page.

If one were actually Truly stop, and just focus on, and noticing and recognizing, the actual emotions/internal feelings that 'arise', and then 'go away', then there could be as many different ones as there are the different thoughts that 'come up'.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 2:49 am Nothing else to talk about? Now, there could be a new emotion ever two seconds or so. So, when you say and write, 'tells us how you are feeling' in a forum, can you recognize and see how doing this might not be that helpful at all, here?
Are you aware that you do not have to 'read' what the eyes 'see'?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 2:49 am I'll start. Is there absolutely 'no control' within 'that body' at all?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 2:49 am That's no way to live and no way to come to a forum all wound up by click bait that is designed to excite and incense us and keep us clicking on emotive, sensationalist news articles.
Has doing 'this' stopped the anxious, angry, and agitated emotions from 'arising'?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 2:49 am So I have changed my home page and new page settings to the Google search page.

I wonder, did Age go to college at a sanitarium?
I went to Louisiana Tech University, I cooked breakfast for the cafeteria before I hit classes. I could cook so fast, I left enough for them to server for about an hour after I left for classes. It was there that my English teacher suggested that I turn pro in writing, but I said no, not till my early 60's would I have anything worth the effort.
I am slowly switching over from Hard drives to SSD's. Mean time between failure, if you convert the hours to years, you find they should last over 170 years. That is constant usage. Imagine what you get for casual. Keep in mind that you can put a lifetime home schooled education on a 256 gb SSD, complete with your personal operating system.
I learnt that my English teacher eventually had a new wing to the college named after her. I won't even have a soda named after me.

I feel like death today. Nothing unusual for me.
Re: Check in Thread
I actually, and really, felt that way once. It was a day they sprayed for roaches at the chow hall, which I did not know about, and it seems they did a really shitty job of covering things. All I know is shortly, I made my way to the rest room, hung over the toilet, I lost all sense of my body, like a neurotoxin, I could not see, feel, hear a thing, I was aware in pure blackness passing out, I was dying. I eventually regained consciousness, got up and went back to work.
But I learnt one thing, we always supply the meaning of all information we sense, and without that sense, we learn what we are, we are the ghost behind the sensation. We choose every bit of meaning in our life because once we loose sense, there is nothing left but our self. We are simply out of a job.

Death, it’s a shitty job, but someone’s got to do it.

Did you not notice that 'that spray' was to kill and/or control 'roaches', and not human beings at all, and hat because of 'the way' that you speak 'to people', here, in this forum, then some of 'these people' might notice and/or comment on how much effect 'that spray' actually had 'on you'.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 7:26 amI actually, and really, felt that way once. Re: Check in Thread
There are Tardigrades, and Retardigrades, at some future Age, there might be Super Retardigrades.
Re: Check in Thread
Nothing can die. Because there’s only infinite existence. Dying or death is a made up mental construct, the fear of not existing. No fear, because you’ve always existed infinitely forever.
What you call your physical form has appeared outwardly from within what is already existing infinitely for eternity, this emptiness that is not nonexistent.
Re: Check in Thread
A not so rare event! A Retardigrade may have found itself a mate! This could usher in the Age of disenlightenment. Or the beginning of a New Age of Mythology, complete with tarts and retarts, or a whole clan of them.
Something to choke over.

What a fascinating story, written by no one and read by everyone.

Well, did anybody count the checks Gary got, and did he try to cash them?
Is he now a rich man, or more impoverished than when he started?
