I love this!
I love this!
I might sign on a number of times in a day, just to read that some inanimate rock assures me that I am human. It is like having one of them old pull string dolls, I never even thought of having. Who could have thought of training actually people to adore the senseless waste of time by a stupid machine.
Re: I love this!
I got my usual shipment in of cat food, only this time something was very different. One of the two cases looked as normal as could be, but on the inside, generations of bugs had lived and died because of damaged cans, cans which I think, could only have been damaged at the factory before they were packed there, as the packing was itself, perfect.
The bugs lived on about three cans of cat food until it was all gone, they were now empty, So, I scrubbed every one of the remaining cans. The company I order from is sending another case gratis.
Often, companies take automation to mean they do not have to actually inspect and react to machines in a timely manner. AI actually started in the implementation of mass production. No factory has yet evolved to be alive.

Come on it’s not all doom and gloom. The good news is that machines don’t know they’re stupid.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 12:42 pm I might sign on a number of times in a day, just to read that some inanimate rock assures me that I am human. Re: I love this!
Which Platonic dialog is that, tell me you know.
But getting back to AI, people do not recognize it as an anthropomorphism, it is in fact, a form of socially enforced schizophrenia. One of the down sides of your friends.
Re: I love this!
There is a 16 tb Sans Digital box on Ebay right now for 105$ and I might think it a very good deal cept for one thing. The 4t drives in it are Seagate, cheap drives.
Re: I love this!
I don’t know what a friend is. Genuinely, I just don’t know.
Some people can project an image of friendliness, and sometimes project an image of enemism .. I learned very early on in my life not to trust anyone.
Re: I love this!
One can only know what a friend is, if they know themselves. Relation to self is inadmissible, so a friend is someone who maintains and promotes life with you. We do not trust people, we can only trust in, if we are capable of it, truth in judgment. One cannot fault others for being mentally disabled. We can only hate it, but it is really not their fault, it is just a fault they were born with.Fairy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 1:39 pmI don’t know what a friend is. Genuinely, I just don’t know.

One thing I had to learn, having a very high I.Q. I had to come to understand the a friend does not mean that they have to be alive, i.e. one can acquire their friends via books. So long as they taught you right from wrong, good from evil, how to think, they are a friend, living or not. Or in Biblical terms, you shall seek from the living unto the dead, otherwise there is no light in you.
That is where I went to find friends.

We can only know ourself.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 1:59 pmOne can only know what a friend is, if they know themselves. Others can’t be trusted because we have no access to their mind. Their intentions and behaviour is out of our control.
We cannot predict what face another person is choosing to wear from one moment to the next.
You can only trust yourself because ultimately only you alone are responsible for your own intentions, behaviour and your actions. Also you learn very early in life the law of cause and effect, and the consequences that come to you are the lessons you learn so that you don’t repeat what feels wrong. Rather, you prefer always what feels right. Everyone wants contentment, comfort and peace usually. I’ve never wanted hostility or fear.
Love just seems to be the perfect way to live. Just to love and not hate. When I love and let be, I’m at peace. Isn’t that what’s sought after most?
Re: I love this!
Your reasoning is flawed on the first principle of logic: Relation to self is inadmissible, yourself is the only person you can never know and never trust. We learn about ourselves by observing how things react to us judged through principles of reason.Fairy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 2:14 pmWe can only know ourself.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 1:59 pmOne can only know what a friend is, if they know themselves. Re: I love this!
I don’t actually agree with you on that point, because to me, the only true genuine authentic relationship I’ve ever known is the relationship I have with myself. The self I have created. My creation, so my mind, known absolutely. Even if it’s all an illusion, matters not to me, because the illusion feels very real and so I’m going to act on it, because I Can.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 2:16 pmYour reasoning is flawed on the first principle of logic: Relation to self is inadmissible, yourself is the only person you can never know and never trust. Re: I love this!
That is the most fundamental contradiction possible, it is not that you disagree with me, for I am not the standard of rationality, you disagree with the whole of literacy, the whole of the ability to think.Fairy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 2:24 pm

You are claiming that you are schizophrenic, and boldly I may add. We are not different from ourselves. So, one can neither love nor hate themselves.
