Buying Used Computers

Post by Phil8659 »

I have always bought used computers from Ebay, the reason is, one can get Dell Workstations very cheap. Now I have 6 computers scattered about the house, three of them are on entertainment systems.

Recently, I went looking for a good powerhouse Workstation, Desktop, Dell 5820 precision tower, they have a lot of good deals on them.
Well, I looked at this one, really nicely configured, but it was unusually cheap, and not refurbished. I passed it by. I then got an offer from the guy, for 200 more off, but here is the thing "Tested for Power On only." So, I told the guy, I can read, sell the rock to someone else. I then added a counter offer, $10. These machines have a comprehensive self testing environment. So I told him, I would test it and if it passed testing, I would pay him his original asking price.
Now, let us see how he responds. No one is going to invest in a rock, unless they cannot read.

Why do some people feel the need to express and share their most mundane daily experiences in a philosophy forum of all places?

One can understand why some people take photographs of, and tell the most mundane stories of, their daily life experiences on social media platforms, but in a 'philosophy forum'. What does these types of people think a 'philosophy forum' was actually set up for, exactly?

It's the lounge. It's here for the the stuff you consider to be mundane. Go back to the kitchen.
