I wonder what the crime rate is in North Korea? If anyone dares to break the law there, they'd probably be shot on sight. Sounds like it might be a biker's paradise to me. Apparently, democracy has proven itself to be an inferior method of running society.
Imprisoning a population is a crime even if you don’t call it that.

I'm really not sure. The truth is that I don't really worry that these drug-addled egomaniacal sociopaths will succeed in their plans. The hubris is too evident, and whenever these people try to express their ideas in front of sane audiences they look like idiots. It's just that the cleanup after this fiasco will be really painful.
Soon the decision will have to be made whether to let all the people tried to end democracy slither away like they did after the Civil War, Nuremburg them, or do a South African style Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
For lesser collaborators like Walker, maybe just shave their heads, French Resistance style.

Well the French and Russian Revolutions both failed miserably and ended up ushering in horrible totalitarian regimes. So we may end up being the ones with shaved heads. My fear is that Trump is setting precedents that won't go away after he does. Retaliation may not restore civil society. But I do feel your pain.

I don't see Trump building any political movement that's actually designed to last. Everything is about gratifying his demands down to the daily presentation of gold medals to the dear leader. Who succeeds him? Nobody likes Vance, and Vance is not MAGA, he won't be able to keep MTG in line, senators won't fear him, MAGA will just be gone.
All the crazy shit he's done will become unfashionable again, and people will forget that the only thing that made it not happen before Trump was good will and conformity. This Supreme Court has been rogue since it overturned Roe with inadequate reasoning. They will find a way to reverse their own prior rulings on presidential immunity as soon as they have a president they don't feel indebted to.
