I have to ask myself: would you be willing to spend the rest of your life in prison just so a few million morons can know who i am and what has happened to me?

One alternative ending would be something like this. Wrongly convicted sex offender's life is ruined, and he decides to pull an Eric Rudolph. Naturally, a warrant is put out for his arrest. He stays on the lam for years and kills a total of twenty people (cops, lawyers, gas station clerks, sexy beasts... a guy's gotta get laid, ya know, etc), and then one day after he's grown old and tired, he walks into the sheriff station lookin' like che Guevara and turns himself in.

The book is a best seller and wrongfully or over-charged sex offenders everywhere are now fighting back. One guy burned an apartment complex down because they wouldn't rent to him. Another one cut the head off the judge that convicted him and mailed it to the sheriff with a note: just giving you a heads up!

In the interviews, he explains everything. Breaks the shit totally down. How the data shows the registry is not only ineffective but is actually contributing to causing criminal behavior and how nobody gives a shit because it's not their lives that are being ruined.

The grand irony... what would make him immortal... would be that he raped and murdered countless women because he was made a sex offender by the State.

See what i mean? How could i want to pass such an opportunity up? And yet, the thought of eating collard greens with rocks in em every day and practicing wing chun so i don't get stabbed just to be able to blow the world's mind with a book and a few interviews somehow steals my thunder.

Still to this day, I'm not sure how to do it. Let em get me or off myself during the shootout.

Well, they have a few more years to repeal this SO registry nonsense before i make my move. Maybe by some miracle, they'll get it back in court and repeal it.
Why can you not just write a book without being in prison?

Because it wouldn't be a great story unless I had a tragic ending. I have to take back my freedom, go on the run and then die in a shootout with the POleece when they try to capture and reimprision me. Don't you know anything about greek art and drama, Age? In order to reach the rank of Socrates and Jesus, i have to be sacrificed by those who condemn me unfairly so that a great philosophical irony be born and thrive in the halls of the ethics debates following my death. Universities all across the globe will put me in their text books in the famous moral dilemma chapter with the Trolley Problem and all those other ones. Mine will be called The Promblem.

OMG, this is the worst. When you and Grigoriy break off from the column to go have some sexy time (yah?) in the woods and they drop a grenade on you.

Well that is a very closed and "one sided" way of 'looking at' and 'seeing' things.

Is it actually true and right?

If yes, then to 'who', exactly?
promethean75 wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 8:35 pm I have to take back my freedom, go on the run and then die in a shootout with the POleece when they try to capture and reimprision me.
Again, if you, supposedly, already have a 'great story', then why do you not just write it 'now'?

If you 'have to' add more 'drama' to 'your story', then 'the story' you already have may not be as 'great' a story as you imagine and believe it is.

Have you stopped beating your mother?

See how 'loaded questions' are not the best ways to express in 'philosophy forums'?

But, it could, and would be, said and 'argued' by some that 'you' deserved it, anyway, whereas those other two human beings did not.

Would you not agree?

Is 'this' what you really believe is true, or what you are just using to 'try to' deflect, here?

OMG, i didn't even think about it until i just saw it. Don's glad that Colbert is being canceled, called him garbage, and then said Greg Gutfield was a far better talent.

It is a disease! Something only talentless pieces of shit can carry, which allows them to identify each other. Like a species of insect that has a pheromone or something. Incredible!

The nest is Fox news. I think they grow these creatures underneath the building, slap some makeup on em and then put em in front of a camera to rally all the other creatures through the TV.

Watch this.

One can't take god's command not to kill seriously unless killing was a bad thing. Killing can't be a bad thing unless 'bad' only means 'what god doesn't like'. It can't be bad when it takes people lives if people are immortal, see. That's where god fucked up. He's instructed you not to kill what he has just told you is immortal. Lol, what a moron!

Right? If you're good, you're going to heaven, so it duddint matter that you just got murdered. If you're bad, you're going to hell, and you're fucked anyway.

See what i just did there? The only reason god can produce to justify his command not to kill is that he simply doesn't like it for whatever arbitrary reason.

Has this been done yet in philosophy, or am i the first to do it?

I have never stated for the record that there is no god like the one described by the anthropomorphic religions because i simply can't know if there is or not. What i have done, however, is shown what the terms would be like IF such a god DID exist... how ridiculous, paradoxical, and contradictive the circumstances are at every turn. The logical, the metaphysical, the ethical, all become nonsensical confusions when this concept of god is introduced to explain anything.

Once recognized (if at all), any fear of such a god is nullified by anger at the degree of insult an intelligent person has to endure in any relationship to this god. The insult is so profound that a human being should be willing to sacrifice himself to eternal hell before he would sit at the side of such a god.

What is the secret of prometheus and the profundity of his situation? In the end, Zeus (and Heracles prior) can only be impressed by P's defiance and refusal to submit to his tyranny. This myth symbolizes the revolt against god that wins the rebel his immortality.

I have revealed to you the third of the esoteric paths. The alternative path to that of the righteous and the wicked, beyond them both.

The death of all gods and devils has been announced, and the promethean human has taken his place. Verily i teach thus.

Subject matter posted here as well as ILP so that if I'm right, i can get this on the wire better. Also, to let X know I know what's going on, and that could turn out very badly for X.

To get the backstory (a must), look for the Promcast special report vocaroo clip in the What Are You Doing thread at ILovePhilosophy. The latest post unless someone has posted since.

Lol, now our would-be conspirators and their professional hitman DJ Dish Detergent can't but commend me for figuring out what's going on, and this angers them.

Ya'll have no idea, fellas. If i had hacking powers, you'd be dead in [insert however long in prep and drive time it would take to get to you].

That's so crazy that you would be such an empty imbecile as to not be simply amazed by me in every way. Like you should be offering to buy me a condo rather than trying to kill me. Alright well lay low 'cause now I'm lookin' for you.

(He wasn't a solicitor of Gain detergent, either. Clearly not. And no, i haven't done drugs (but herb) in months, so I'm not trippin all this paranoia)

Light beige Dodge looking boxy van SUV looking vehicle. Small family type vanish thing.

Suspect approx 5'11, black male with dreadlocks at middle back length. Causally dressed. Only apparent possession was the small bottle of blue detergent. Answered no questions from the cat lady about who he works for. Passed approx five houses on my street after turning onto it, came right to mine, got denied at the door, and then passed three more houses driving to the street stop sign and turning right. Not indicative of a solicitor or rep or vendor or anything like that.

It's even the kind of plan B a genius like that would come up with.

Homeboy: "what happens if he don't come to da door, though? What if his moms comes to da door? You gotta have some reason to be up there, bruh."

DJ Dish Detergent, professional hitman: "Damn you right. I'ain even think uh that. Oh shit i could ack like a vendor or a charity or something. Yo, whatchu got i could give to her?"

Homeboy: "Bruh i'on know! Grab that bottle of Gain and ack like you're giving samples of a new produck or somethin'.

"Who would it be tragic for?"

Certainly not for me the very obvious protagonist in our story.

Hey, how'd you do in critical reading skills class when you were in high-school?
