If you don't mind me asking, what program did you use to create such a neat summary?attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 2:07 amIt was a synopsis of the second video - since it was shorter, but appeared to be covering the points in the first video. Is this a synopsis of only one video or is it a synthesis of the two?

I've been doing this technique:
1. In the utube video webpage I click on 'show transcript'
2. click the remove timestamp <-- not sure of exact wording, you'll word it out!
3. copy the entire transript.
4. I find chatGPT sufficient to use for the prompt-->output formatting
5. Prompt, something like this:- 'I am going to past a utube transcript and from that make a synopsis with output for a philosphy forum in phpBB format highlighting key points'
Hey presto!
PS: Pissed off I had to tell all the others on the forum my little secret!!
Re: Age of Unreason
We are all, me especially, supremely grateful in you having been so generous in dispensing such privileged information to the great unwashed active on the forum. I'm as sure god will reward you as much as he will damn me for so vehemently insisting on his non-entity! Understandable! No one likes to be ignored, especially god.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 4:15 amOf course I don't mind my favourite atheist asking.Dubious wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 4:03 amIf you don't mind me asking, what program did you use to create such a neat summary?attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 2:07 am

The final Great Reckoning, I fear, may not be in my favor!
...but for the time-being, which amounts to the time still left
Thank you!

I don't think GOD cares that people are wrong.

All knowledge can do is point to the artificial illusory nature of reality, in other words A.I.

...with increasing numbers who are convinced that their unreason IS based on reason.
Perhaps better termed an Age of Delusion?

Re: Age of Unreason
Unreason represents the absence of reason.
The correct term for the current age is anti-reason.

Re: Age of Unreason
Ironically I would like the Original Post to have included some cold hard facts. Stating the statistics of how many people use facts and reason and more to it than that.
With the internet and Ai it is easier to get facts than ever before.
Unreason relative to what year?
Certainly there is more reason in 2025 than the year 1525.

Of course people are become stupider. This political strategy is an ancient way for regimes to keep close control of the people. The Taliban of Afghanistan are a blatant example where girls are not allowed to go to school. In the US, Trump is at war with America's best university and knowledgeable people are being called'"woke".

Only if they're liberal. I'm not aware of knowledgeable conservatives being called "woke". The white working class do not want to know. And they are far from stupid. If you want to be really woke, really liberal, you have to include them FIRST. Not only appeal to a rainbow coalition of everyone else. This is not morality, it's politics.Belinda wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 8:47 am Of course people are become stupider. Deference and inferiority are always required by social elites , colonialists, and dictators towards underlings.
Notice how elite private schools in Britain work to maintain and further elite social performances. Notice how old Hollywood movies used to portray negroes as lovable but basically deferential domestic servants .

And at what point in human history had mankind ever achieved the ability to reason. Or have you mistaken historic parroting as reasoning?ThinkOfOne wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 4:35 pm Have we entered an Age of Unreason?

As all reasoning is afforded by binary recursion, point to any time in history when a Grammar Matrix, i.e., our four binary systems of grammar, were accepted and maintained as Law?
Now there are works which claim that the age of reasoning will come to mankind, and plenty of people who claim it has come at some time in our past, however, the standard for what reasoning its, the ability and practice of using binary recursion for the betterment of humanity, has never been achieved, therefore, you incur a tense error, for that time is yet to come.
Thinking that a train has left the station long before it has arrived, is a mistake only made by those who sleep on benches.
