Shalom from London

Post by PleurotusEryngii97 »

Good evening all! :D

I'm a 28 year old Welsh Jew in London. I have an MA in Philosophy and a BA in R.S and Philosophy. I've got a big interest in 20th century British Philososphy, Continental Philosophy and more contemporary Phenomenology!
I write in my spare time and teach Jewish Philosophy a week a year.

I know this doesn't really tell you much, but if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer! :D 8)

What is 'the message', exactly, which you would like to 'get across' and share, here?

Engage with Age at your peril. He's known for his rabid anti-semitism. He also has a natural gift for causing nervous breakdowns and believes he is 'God'.

Greetings. Please be aware, though, that you're likely to get some stick, as there are quite a few people here who really hate the Welsh. Personally, I love the place, and the language, having been there loads of times, especially North Wales, around the coast and Snowdonia.

Who hates the Welsh? I think it's the most beautiful accent in the world.

It is indeed, and the language itself, too. I've even picked up a few words and phrases, on my various sojourns there.

Well just in this very short post there are at least three claims made.

Which, 'this one' would not even begin to 'stand behind'.

Not that it could anyway.

Here 'we' have another one who likes to make claims, here.

So, who, exactly, are these 'quite a few people' who, supposedly and allegedly, 'really hate' the "welsh"?

If you do not back up your claim, here, then why make it at all?

It is 'not'.

Again, just because you or another may well 'personally' think or like some thing this never ever makes 'it' so.

I am not sure how many times 'these posters', here, have to be informed of this irrefutable Fact before they recognize it, and accept it.

I was being ironic.

Like Baron Howard of Lympne, with whom I've had the pleasure of corresponding.

And I'm jealous.

Baruch Spinoza comes to mind, whom I admire for his pantheistic, or rather (pan)physical view.

I'll be discussing him in my lessons in the coming weeks! Spinoza that is - He's not my favourite but, in reading more about him, I can absolutely see why someone would admire him!
