Descartes: "I Think Therefore I Am"
Descartes: "I Think Therefore I Am"
Descartes: "I Think Therefore I Am" ... Who am I? My stomach is a meat grinder,
my heart is a blood pump, my kidneys are filters, my brain is a computer, etc. Where am I?

Re: Descartes: "I Think Therefore I Am"
You’re a thought.
What is a thought but the addiction to an illusory fabricated narrative.
What is a thought but the addiction to an illusory fabricated narrative.
Re: Descartes: "I Think Therefore I Am"
'I' am what some call and refer to as the Spirit, Allah, God, Enlightenment, and the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent One.
Whereas, 'you' human beings are very different.
And, the Correct version is not 'I think', therefore I am. The more Correct and Accurate version is, 'I know, therefore I am'. See, only 'you' human beings think. Whereas, 'I' know.
See, the only real thing that 'I' can know, for sure, or with certainty, are 'the thoughts' existing, within 'this body'. However, and obviously, what 'thoughts' are existing, could be False, Wrong, Inaccurate, or Incorrect, but since, irrefutably, there 'are thoughts', then there is 'I', an Awareness, or conscious Being, existing, as well.
Re: Descartes: "I Think Therefore I Am"
Again, 'the thoughts', within 'that body', are believed to be absolutely true, by no one else but 'the one' known as "fairy", here.
Unless, of course, there is 'another one' who would also like to claim that a 'thought' is nothing but 'the addiction' to an 'illusory fabricated narrative'.
Which is obviously blatantly False, and Wrong.

Fools deride Me when I descend in the human form.
They do not know My transcendental nature
and My supreme dominion over all that be.

Life is full of illusions: ordinary, emotional, mathematical, scientificAge wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 11:29 am'Life', Itself, would only be 'an illusion' if 'Life' could not be proved True, Right, Accurate, nor Correct.

How is this 'another' answer? Is there an actual difference between the 'two answers'?socrattus wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 11:40 amThere is another answer:Age wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 11:20 am'I' am what some call and refer to as the Spirit, Allah, God, Enlightenment, and the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent One.

If yes, then how, exactly?
Re: Descartes: "I Think Therefore I Am"
Different sorts of 'illusions' may well exist in Life, or the Universe, Itself, and exist in many forms, and to many different brains. However, and obviously, 'Life', Itself, is not 'an illusion'. As 'Life' is an already irrefutably proved Thing.

not if you were a brain in a vatmickthinks wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 12:55 pmIt’s a mildly interesting question, but it would be a mistake to imagine it has anything to do with Descartes and his famous dictum, I think.

What about if you are a brain, or the thoughts, within a human body?Impenitent wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 1:06 pmnot if you were a brain in a vatmickthinks wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 12:55 pmIt’s a mildly interesting question, but it would be a mistake to imagine it has anything to do with Descartes and his famous dictum, I think.

Would it still not be a mildly interesting question?
