Re: Music
_______
Forgive me, but whenever I find old songs on YouTube that were recorded at my studio back in the 80s/90s, I like to post a link here.
Here's one by a group called The Beveridge Brothers Band...

(RIP - Hal Beveridge - band leader/singer/bass player.)

Continuing on from my prior post,...
...back in the late 80s, or perhaps it was the early 90s (I can't recall), over the course of several months, a talented young song writer named Joe Morford recorded a 42-song comedic musical in my studio, of which I voiced a couple of the characters: "Ms Marie" and "Piglet Baconmaker," plus contributed to the voices of the ensemble at certain times.
It is titled:
"Toastman the Musical"
All 42 songs are in one grouping on Soundcloud...
https://soundcloud.com/toastmanthemusic ... ears%20ago
Anyway, all of the incredible variety and genres of musical parts were performed on a tiny keyboard by one of Joe's college friends who was a very quiet and humble teenager at the time (maybe 18 or 19 years old).
His name is Xavier Davis, and here is his Wiki page...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xavier_Da ... 0languages
The whole thing was a blast (as in fun) to record.
Here's me as Ms Marie (she's a bit on the butch side of the gender scale
- but hey, it's just showbiz
)...

(Forewarning: unfortunately, you may have to endure a loud commercial or two before the music starts.)

Sly & The Family Stone - Hot Fun in the Summertime (Official Audio)

Rose is further evidence that it’s the singer and not the song.
- I "cloud nine" when I want to
- "Boop-boop-ba-boop-boop" when I want to
RIP old Sly.

Re: Music
_______
When I first got my 16-track, analog (reel-to-reel) tape recorder for my little studio back in the 80s, one of the first bands I recorded was a progressive jazz group called "Turning Point."
They blasted out all of the songs of their planned studio album in one night, with a few overdubs to follow later on.
Unfortunately, the extremely talented sax player (Wilton Machen), keyboard player (Robert Van Stee), and the flute player/percussionist (Michael Sampson Sweeney) have all died since then (Machen and Van Stee also performed on the "Carribean Escape" album mentioned in this post: viewtopic.php?p=770932#p770932).
As an interesting sidenote, Randy Marsh was the drummer, and Randy's dad is Arno Marsh who played saxophone with the likes of Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Charlie Barnet, Lionel Hampton, Buddy Rich, and Harry James.
Anyway, I can't seem to find any of the tracks from their album online, so I recently transferred one of their songs from an old cassette they marketed back then.
I still remember how sonically huge the original track sounded back in my big studio monitors. Unfortunately, it has lost a great deal of that sonic quality going from 16-track, then to half-track mix down, then to commercial cassette (almost 40 years old now), then to a compressed MP3.
Nevertheless, here it is:

Just for kicks,...
(and mainly from discovering an uploading trick that atto has been using to link to the AI music he's been dabbling in)
...I thought I would provide some links to a couple of backing tracks that I recently added lead guitar to after nicking the tracks from YouTube.
The first one is me playing lead guitar on a short (1:38) and nameless backing track that I wish I could relocate on YouTube in order to give proper attribution, but I can't find it. Anyway, here it is...
https://drive.google.com/file/d/15Lue4A ... drive_link
And the second track (provided by "TheBackingtrackworld") is me doing a cover lead guitar on the Allman Brothers' tune "Jessica"...
