Good points. Though maybe the implication that we are always somewhat illusional by being subjective - has merit. But philosophy (especially logic) CAN reduce foolishness.

As to, “Who ever said "true" love is insane?”…
I’m no expert on love but from my experience & observation, true love is less insane. Infatuation masquerading as love is quite insane.
