Contemplation

Post by Walker »

- Meditation is a learned technique to completely still the mind and body.
- In addition to complete relaxation of the mind and body, meditation is preparation for contemplation.

Contemplation clears out the cobwebs in the corners.

Once you have realised the nondual nature of pure imageless nameless empty awareness. You never need to meditate ever again. You never return to the noise that is the mind.

The noise of the mind still rattles on regardless, it’s just that now you pay it no attention, you starve it to death, until it completely disappears. That doesn’t mean it’ll never reappear , it will, but that’s the nature of the mind.

While nondual awareness looks on in complete detachment. To reach that state is to live out the rest of your life in nirvana.

Even while you play with your life story, you know it’s a just a mirage, like reading a fiction novel, the story is never separated from the book, the one that only you authored.

If you haven't noticed any creatures flying or waddling around, it would be prudent to pay attention if your mind yells, "Duck!"

- Contemplation in the form of self-enquiry does leads to non-duality.
- However, one must be receptive to self-enquiry, because it takes on a life of its own, and becomes uncontrollable.
- Meditation prepares the mind for relentless, stoppable self-enquiry that takes over your existence.
- Once self-enquiry takes hold it does not stop, regardless of what you choose.
- Self-enquiry does not stop until there is a resolution. It does not stop for mental exhaustion, or sleeping, or dreaming, or talking, or working or walking.
- Self-enquire is contemplation – concerning who you are and what you are, and especially, what the hell are you doing and why?

- Contemplation puts order to the world, after non-duality changes everything.

- Realization of non-duality is like …drop by drop, the balloon fills. Eventually it appears to be full, but the drops slowly continue, one at a time. The balloon gets bigger, fuller. The drops vary in frequency.
- Then one day, or one night as it so happens, one more drop falls into the balloon, and the balloon bursts all at once.

- What’s left is you, to integrate back into the world.
- To again, tap into memory so you know where you are.
- To again, regain spatial orientation of the body.

- To again, think.
- Contemplation puts order to the new world that was always there unnoticed, for purposes of communication.
- You find that rationality takes precedence when nothing is taken for granted anymore.
- However because you're a human bean, you don't become Spock.

It’s kind of like automatically knowing instinctively, not to cross the road into an oncoming massive unstoppable juggernaut.

Self-enquiry is the juggernaut. If don’t need it, then don’t be foolish.

When self-enquiry ends, you never need self-enquiry ever again, for what you have become is the invisible, still axis around which the top spins, and the meditation that has settled into the bones balances topsy-turvy.

From time to time you may also find yourself lost in the maelestrom without the rudder of the known, but that’s okay. Everything changes and after all, we are not like those machines.

Nice!

Sadly the rise of the machines seem to be taking control, so the question is, how to stop it?
