But never let it be said that I am less than a magnanimous host to our AI bullshitting visitors.

Here's living political philosopher Francis Fukuyama on the subject of ...
Francis Fukuyama wrote: The Tragedy of Elon Musk
He not only squandered the opportunity to sensibly reform government. His antics have ruined the reputation of electric vehicles.

So it’s now official: Elon Musk is leaving Washington and returning to his businesses, running Tesla, SpaceX, Starlink, and the other technology companies he founded. The parting was not, evidently, entirely amicable. Predictably, Donald Trump used Musk to do his dirty work, and when he became more of a liability than an asset, he discarded him.

Elon Musk is Exhibit A in what’s wrong with our oligarch-dominated society. ...

Besides the fact that I want no part in any of his notorious Twitter flame fests, I think that Nassim Taleb's Incerto series of publications has turned out to be surprisingly influential. Especially, the following ones have popularized the terms "black swan" and "antifragile":

Black Swan, Impact of the highly improbable
Antifragile, Things that benefit from disorder

Taleb has done impressive work in the realm of practical epistemology.

Thanks, you are right - HelenMondor is definitely a spambot. Yet she started this thread. If I delete her, presumably the thread will disappear?

Never mind - I'll try it.

I think the first reply becomes the top and it looks a bit odd. It's happened before.
