Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
Re: Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
Galactic model 2 would confirm the validity of the concept of conscious creation, creation through consciousness - an accretion disk above a black hole (black star) which occurs in the first phase and then disappears. So after creation the universe maintains itself.
Re: Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
But below the galactic model we have the heliocentric model, and below it the geocentric model. The geocentric model seems to be a more fundamental model than the heliocentric model, hence the most applicable in the case of ideomaterialism would be the division in the golden ratio of 0.618 matter to 0.382 mind (of course in this way I introduce a correction to the earlier division of 50/50).
Re: Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
In this way my ideomaterialism comes close to critical materialism.

However, this is more idealism, more precisely, ideomaterialism. The cosmos does not sustain itself, but is sustained by God the Father.

My ideorealism is close to concept of G.Berkeley
Re: Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
Berkeley's concept was a Copernican revolution in philosophy and can be literally compared to the concept of Copernicus.

Either and any personification of infinite, eternal existence is superfluous fantasy. Until the Person(s) doing existence stop(s) perfectly hiding their traces.

Depends what one means by cosmos.I meant cosmos as a physical thing.Martin Peter Clarke wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 9:15 amEither and any personification of infinite, eternal existence is superfluous fantasy. Until the Person(s) doing existence stop(s) perfectly hiding their traces.
I understand your aversion to personification, especially as many of my Humanist friends had the same aversion possibly for the same reason.

By cosmos I mean 'the all', everything, which, of course, is matter with its energy attributes, fields, qualia, as intimated by Carl Sagan, and the ancients.Belinda wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 9:21 amDepends what one means by cosmos. “The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplations of the Cosmos stir us — there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation, as if a distant memory, of falling from a height. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries.” — “Cosmos: A Personal Journey,” 1980.
Personification as metaphor is fine, and Gaia works for that. God can, à la Einstein's God doesn't play dice. God the Father is useless as metaphor.

The structure of the brain and its division into two equal hemispheres may provide some clues to the validity of the proposed concept. The structure of the brain may reflect the hidden structure of reality or impose on us the structure of the theory and the division of 50-50, half idealism and half materialism. However, the structure of the brain did not emerge from nowhere, it concerns its origin, its source, and therefore may reflect the hidden nature of reality
Re: Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
So division half to half is the best.
Re: Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
Brain structure may provide an important clue.
Re: Resolving of the eternal dispute between idealism and materialism, synthesis of idealism and materialism
This structure can show hidden nature of reality
