Conquests are never simply military. Even the conquest of America, by the English first, and then the Americans, was done with a whole series of treaties, most of which they broke, and a great deal of playing off one faction against another. For the third time, I'm no apologist for monotheism. But I don't believe that the Judaic form of it poses any threat to us. Famously, Jews don't proselytise, and they certainly don't try and impose their religion on others by force.
