Now, if you know some of my work, you would ask, how is it that I can read much of the metaphors of the Bible to such a degree, I can show how there is but one story of creation, put in three different ways, or how is it, that when the Book tells you only one person in history could solve for the name of the Beast 666, I show you step by step its solution, "To regulate our behavior so that we can turn the past into a future and bring that future to pass." The very definition of what a mind is for, predictive behavior.

Relation to self is inadmissible. i.e., When man read, no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, yada, yada. You react to the appearance of the images, but not the actual meaning. It is just one way of stating the Law of Reciprocity. Buying and selling are reciprocal behaviors of social discourse, effected by social agreement. What is the most fundamental agreement you have to make with yourself and with those around you?
How to do your own work which is biologically defined because, a mind is potentially the most powerful life support system possible. So, you read a boogeyman instead of a simple factual metaphor for a function of the mind. The way you read it says, yet, they are still children.
We are an information processor designed to maintain and promote life over the entire biosphere. The ability to do that job is rooted in simple literacy. The Book is sealed, simply because, you are factually illiterate.
As Plato noted, our life, the life on this planet, involves first and foremost the ability to do our own work as a functional mind.

In days of old, we had the Arena, a permanent structure, or an impromptu one. Where people fought to the death against overwhelming odds. Today, we have the stock market, a fixed structure, and impromptu structures called war zones. Is the exchange of life today, based on a reciprocal relationship, in either? If the mind has one and only one job to do, and one and only one means of doing that job, what is the standard by which the reciprocal relationship can take place between men? Is it really that hard to fucking figure out? Why is it, that the Beast was the only person who knew his own name?
It is because the rest of the world are too stupid to know what they are and are thus incapable of humility.
