My Aussie mate said they get pretty crazy and serious about it. Bloody right they do. Yesterday I was in a taxi and there was a long procession of idiots carrying "crucifixes" and self-flagellation. - I was so angry, my girl in the taxi told me to keep quiet - I guess in case the driver thought such stupidity was also required of the crazy for of "catholocism" over here.

Later in the day, we went to the main 'western' style shopping centre - it's massive, very modern - it's hard to get natural juice here so we went there - and turns out the ENTIRE shopping centre is closed until Sunday - because of this Easter thang, ffs.
