Heaven and Hell
Heaven and Hell
Most religions make some distinction between right and wrong expressed in the consequences of Heaven and Hell. But why?
The reason many are particular about right and wrong is biological. We are potentially the most powerful life support system possible. Thus, by nature, we are concerned with, on some level, doing our own work recognizing this as a major factor in our behavior. So, Morals, Ethics, Religion are related to our job of learning to survive. Not a mystery. Religion and Science have the same foundation. Religion uses more of geometric reasoning, which is also called metaphor, while Science is heavy into arithmetic, or literal. Only the illiterate claim that one excludes the other when in fact, every thing in all of creation, is defined by both. A thing is some relative within correlatives.
Anyway, The JCS, in the work called Book, for short, or again, Bible; repeatedly tells the reader that mankind cannot distinguish between right and wrong. Plato, never having even read the Book being Greek and all, told people the exact same thing, they cannot distinguish good from evil, and he actually proved it, history has proved it. The Republic of Plato, is actually introduced in Hippias Minor. The lesson was on correlatives, for example, -0 and 1. For example, a stupid person cannot actually willfully do either. The more knowledge one has, means that one can do more things right, but also do them wrong if they so choose. Thus, only the wise man can create both the good and the evil. This actually has its counter part in the Bible, in Isaiah, I the Lord create all the Good and all the Evil, I the Lord do all these things. Now, Socrates tries to get Hippias to understand it, to no avail. However, the idea is the foundation of The Republic. We are reminded of some of the arguments in Hippias, but then we move on to application. This evolves when two brothers, challenge Socrates to show justice in its pure form by putting the best of people in the worst of circumstances such as to fool both gods and men. And these two brothers described it in great detail. This is what the Republic, by textual statement was to be done. Put the best of women and men in hell so that neither man or gods could tell.
In Book 10, one finds the recantation, putting things right, and Socrates in the Jowett version actually calls his Republic, a tale of Horror. Yet down through history, even when plainly stated, mankind claims that Plato created a Utopia, heaven on earth.
That is why I have maintained for a long time, that our educators are illiterate. I have even called one of them that to their face for teaching that the Republic was Plato's Utopia. After all she had a PHd in philosophy.
As philosophers claim to be Platonic philosophers, and then teach rubbish, I sometimes do not let it pass. Stupid teaches are a contributing factor to the greatest STD in history, stupidity.
So, Plato's story of Heaven and Hell, is quite remarkable, and demonstrated quite well throughout the past 2400 years. So, you want to talk about Plato's Utopia? I will be busy cleaning my nose. I have the same response to people who claim that there is a war between religion and science or that one religion is better than another. We have two types of identity use to modify our behavior, fucking grow up.

Re: Heaven and Hell
This, in and of itself,:
1. Does not make sense.
2. Is not grammatically correct.
This is obviously False and Wrong as you human beings are really rather insignificant compared to earth as a life support system.
Also, what are you human beings even supposedly meant to be a life support system to or for, exactly?
1. your two premises and conclusion do not follow, logically, let alone soundly and validly.
2. you keep on mentioning this 'doing our own work', by have yet to even explain what, 'doing our own work', even means nor what it is even referring to, exactly.
3, The rest is just more nonsense.
For example,
you wrote, 'by nature', as though there is some thing that is 'not by nature'. Which is obviously False and Incorrect.
you wrote', 'we are concerned with, on some level, doing our own work', yet no one, here, besides you of course, even knows what, 'doing our own work' even is. Which means that there is no 'we' that are concerned with, on any level, 'doing their own work'.
you wrote, 'recognizing this as a major factor in our behavior, but, again, absolutely no one besides you recognizes any thing, here, as no one even knows what 'this' is, which is supposedly a major factor in their behavior.
Have you ever considered just writing what you actually mean and what 'it' is, exactly, that you are referring to?
Once more you have used the conclusion word, 'so', yet you have not yet concluded any actual thing yet, here.
Also, you human beings certainly do not need to learn to survive through nor with morals, ethics, nor religion as you human beings have been surviving for millions of years before you human beings brought those things into Existence.
Why do you say and write some of the most obviously False, Wrong, Inaccurate, and Incorrect things like, 'Only the illiterate claim that one excludes the other ...'?Phil8659 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 3:36 am Not a mystery. The most intelligent human beings on the planet are the so-called "illiterate" ones.
you adult human beings in the days when this is being written obviously can not consciously distinguish nor explain between what is actually Right, and Wrong, in Life. Although every one of you unconsciously 'know' between Right, and Wrong, in Life. And, when you ones also come to distinguish between the two, and 'know' the actually irrefutable Truth, as well, then you will also see, understand, and realize that you have always 'known' this, just not 'consciously'.
All of you adult human beings prove this every day. And, if any one would like the actual irrefutable proof of this, then just ask any one of you adult human beings to distinguish between Right, from Wrong, in Life.
Which, by the way, is a very Truly simple and easy thing to do, once you, also, learn, and know how to.
There is no use asking you to elaborate on nor to clarify absolutely any thing, here, as you are not yet able to, correct?Phil8659 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 3:36 am The Republic of Plato, is actually introduced in Hippias Minor. So, 'this one' believes, absolutely, that the "educators" of reading and writing are, "themselves", not even able to read, nor write.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 3:36 am In Book 10, one finds the recantation, putting things right, and Socrates in the Jowett version actually calls his Republic, a tale of Horror. That is why I have maintained for a long time, that our educators are illiterate.
'your grammar' is not the 'usual grammar'. And, 'your sentences' are not actually sensible.
Do you 'teach' any thing?
If yes, then why is 'it', exactly?
Is that meant to be 'teachers' or 'teaches'?
Again, you present a sentence, which on its own is nonsensical. And, it appears to be on its own as it does not, actually, relate to any thing that you previously said nor wrote.
Grammatically correct sentences do not make statements nor claims, but then have a question mark at the end of them.
So, are you, here, asking a question, or, making a statement?
Besides your sentence structures being 'all out of whack', which appear to be aligned with your 'all out of whack', reasoning and thinking, what 'it' is that you are even, supposedly, really trying to get to say and mean seems to be an impossibility to fathom and comprehend.
Are you able to explain to 'the readers', here, what 'it' is, exactly, that you are wanting to accomplish, here, in this forum?

Since you have a serious mental disability, I once did a macro which will insert the results of Word's grammar checker at the top of a page.
So, I took the above ran it through Word. So, if you want the macro, I can give you a copy of it once you actually acquire a word processor. Maybe if you read enough, you can approach maybe the 5th grade level, hopefully.

Now for those who would like and have sense enough to use Macro's
Sub RStats()
Selection.TypeParagraph
Selection.MoveUp Unit:=wdLine, Count:=1
Selection.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles("Normal")
Dim StatText As String
Dim rs As Variant
StatText = ActiveDocument.Name & " Statistics:" & vbCr
For Each rs In ActiveDocument.ReadabilityStatistics
StatText = StatText & rs.Name & " - " & rs.Value & vbCr
Next rs
Selection.Text = StatText
End Sub
The macro is very simple.

Just repeating what you have already said and written, without elaborating nor clarifying any thing at, on what was presented and asked to you, shows and proves you real and true character further.Phil8659 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 7:57 am Most religions make some distinction between right and wrong expressed in the consequences of Heaven and Hell. I apologize, my I.Q. cannot stoop that low without a great deal of useless effort. Any it is fair, since you don't have the least bit of sense, you are worth your weight in gold by being ignored.

But, some do know it, while others like "yourself" do not yet know it.
But, as usual you will assume the completely Wrong thing, here.
The way you assume things, and speak and write, here, are examples of insanity.
But, as always there would never ever be a misguided nor inaccurate thought with 'that head', right?
