I can't help but be flattered. You're going out of your way to talk about me in places where it's simply not relevant, so I must have impacted you in some way. I'm obviously important to you. I want to understand why. What did I do to you?

Perhaps you banned him from ILP. He seems eaten up with bitterness and resentment. With a bit of luck he will be banned for life from here soon. I don't think Rick tolerates nazis. My prob with The Pistol, who I've known online now for like twenty years, is that i don't know how to account for him. He's so much righter than most everyone around him at any forum he's at... but then, at the same time, he's always way wronger than me. So I'm like "fuck what do i do with this one?" It's frustrating af.

Why would that be frustrating? Why would you have to do anything with him at all?promethean75 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 1:21 pm My prob with The Pistol, who I've known online now for like twenty years, is that i don't know how to account for him. Because there is a magnificent shortage of smart people in the world and certainly in my own life, so even if you find a smart one that is still only human with an assortment of 'conditions', personality quirks, and critical philosophical errors of reasoning, you still have to keep em.. if only for the purposes and advancement of the sciences.
I believe Crosby stole the hash and Neil sang said it best: if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.

That would be like looking for a movie theater that doesn't show films or ordering the spaghetti but asking the waiter to hold the pasta.

Right about what? Can you give some examples? 'Twenty years'??? What does he normally call himself?promethean75 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 1:21 pm My prob with The Pistol, who I've known online now for like twenty years, is that i don't know how to account for him. Re: Immanuel Can, iambiguous and the Christian God
Judging from his recent posts, I understand now. I'm relatively confident it's Satyr. 3 or 4 posts which at length try to psychologize everyone who believes something differently from him, instead of just saying "I think you're wrong and here's why". He often has that focus. Someone can't just believe differently from him because they've had a different thought process, no, they must be terribly psychologically broken, or perhaps even entirely corrupt, if they disagree with him.accelafine wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 11:54 amPerhaps you banned him from ILP. It's a terrible, dark rhetoric pattern.

Here 'we' have another prime example of what is called 'projection'.Flannel Jesus wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 9:35 pmYou've been quoting me in various threads, insulting me, but I don't know who you are. I don't know what I've done to upset you, or how I could rectify that if I wanted to. Do you have a reason why you're following me around insulting me in threads where that's not contextually relevant?
Re: Immanuel Can, iambiguous and the Christian God
And he cannot see the self-contradiction...
Ha!!!
I did not use the more formal "I think you are mistaken, with all due respect, and forgive me for saying so, but here is why" but implied it....
But this lap-dog needs a formal excuse to continue believing in things he cannot justify.
So, I tell it this:
Every fuckin' post implies that my response claims that the other is wrong, and then I proceed to explain why, which may include the psychological reasons the other willed a wrong perspective.
I also claim there is no absolute, so I do not claim to hold an absolute perspective...only a SUPERIOR one.
Natural selection applies to ideas.
No equality.
No tolerance for weakness.
I need a disclaimer for these pathetic creatures.
My style is too vague, "incoherent"....they need it spelled out for them.
Then they'll dismiss me as posting "word walls".
Whatev...

Re: Immanuel Can, iambiguous and the Christian God
Just got this from William Lane Craig:
Nothing in regard to that but now I do receive a weekly email "update" from him.
As for atheists living a happy and meaningful life, that's hardly the point. The point, instead, is that unless and until those like me "here and now" accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we will writhe in agony for all of eternity in Hell. As for living "inconsistently" what about those "my way or else" moral, political and religious fanatics who, down through history, have made human existence itself a hellish experience for all those who refuse to become "one of us".
Why? Because on 2 occasions I went to his RF site and invited him to join us here: viewtopic.php?t=40750Dear George,
Spring has now arrived where we live, and we’re enjoying the dogwoods and azaleas. Such a beautiful time of year!
During March, in addition to recording our regular “Reasonable Faith” podcasts and Questions of the Week, I had a couple of interesting interviews. The first was with the comedian Brad Stine, who actually had a lot of very serious questions that he wanted to talk about. He was especially puzzled about how atheists can live a happy and meaningful life while believing in materialism and determinism. I explained that it is only by living inconsistently with the implications of their own worldview that atheists can manage to live happily.

Re: Immanuel Can, iambiguous and the Christian God
What do the Jewish "sacred texts" say about Christianity.
In their own words.
Listen to them telling you....what Christianity is.
Full spectrum Jewish Dominance
"Christianity would teach the nations of the world Torah concepts, and it would eliminate paganism. Fundamentally, paganism has died"
"Why? Because of Christianity"
"So God replaced that with a Judaized form of idol worship"
"He says Christianity is not idol worship for the Gentiles. It would be idol worship for the Jews. So he's basically interprets it as Christians are Noahides and they're Noahide compliant"
"All the the sections of Christianity are being destroyed, and eventually it's going to uphold the arrival of the Mashiach himself. When the knowledge of the world, the world become Bene Noach, they will believe in the God of the Jews in the one totally. absolutely oneness of God"
What do the Jews think of Christianity....using their own books and their own Rabbis as a source?
Has anyone ever looked into it, in this forum full of rabid Christians?
What do Jews think of goy?
What is Christianity, according to them?
