Larry's corner

Post by Flannel Jesus »

I don't think this site would be complete without a corner for Larry.

Who's Larry, you ask? Larry is in all of us. He's the spirit of masculine humour, of manly jollyness. He's with you every time you fart.

Praise be to Larry.

If Larry needs any excrement for his corner, I have plenty to spare. Great for growth, especially trees and shrubs. Fight climate change one bucket of excrement at a time!!!

I just mean in addition to the other -ary corners. Wouldn't be right to leave Larry out.

Better grab a corner while you still can, LuckyR! They're few and going fast! Or maybe there's still 4 more on the ceiling corners. Or how many dimensions is cyber-space?

what is the estimated total memory space of the internet in the world
ChatGPT said:
Estimating the total memory space of the internet is tricky, but rough estimates can be made based on global data storage capacity.

Current Estimates (2025)
The total amount of digital data stored worldwide—including cloud storage, private servers, and personal devices—is estimated to be in the zettabyte range.

Global Digital Storage: In 2020, the total digital data in the world was around 44 zettabytes (ZB).
Growth Rate: Data volume roughly doubles every 2-3 years.
Estimated 2025 Data Volume: Predictions suggest it could exceed 175-200 ZB.
Breakdown
Data Centers & Cloud Storage: 50-100 ZB
Personal Devices (PCs, phones, SSDs, etc.): 50 ZB
Corporate & Government Storage: 50 ZB
"Public Internet" (Websites, Social Media, etc.): Estimated at several zettabytes
Perspective on 1 ZB
1 zettabyte =

1 billion terabytes (TB)
1 trillion gigabytes (GB)
Equivalent to 250 billion DVDs
While not all of this is publicly accessible internet data, it represents the stored capacity of everything connected to the web.

What about Moe? Curly? Shemp? Joe? Curly Joe?

What of Groucho? Harpo? Zeppo? Chico? Gummo?
the only marx worth talkin' about

Where are their corners (we can invoke Lovecraftian non-euclidian geometries to give everyone a corner [if they don't mind the Tindalos Hounds nippin' away at their bits]).

Corners for everyone!
I'm pretty sure RED MAN DEFIANT promised everyone a corner

I wonder if this forum would break if we had a thread for literally every individual on the planet. As long as each thread doesn't have more than one post, it might be able to handle it. But it's very possible the dB would run out of space, or at least get very very slow, if we did that.

But if we just make only threads for people whose names end rhyme with -ary, and only one thread per name, so every Harry has to share the Harry thread, it might be okay

I think every Harry will request, demand, his own. Mebbe we oughta bury the idea before it catches on.

Don't try to disenfranchise Harry's. They deserve a voice and a thread like the rest of us.

You would have to cut corners to read them all.
