Fairy’s Corner
Fairy’s Corner
I’m feeling indifferent and neutral today.

There was a pic on /pol/ 4chan the other day. A person was holding a fairy in his open hand to another, offering to a wizard. The fairy had a bemused, annoyed look on her face with her arms folded. The wizard said "how does this help me?" Too bad I can't find the link, it was pretty funny.

Don’t search for answers.
Because you won’t find them.
Instead search for questions.

Re: Fairy’s Corner
I wonder if the same applies to "metaphysicians"? I mean, if you've read enough Harry Potter books, you could become an "expert" on the series. Considering how much money JK Rowling has made, something like that might be a profitable enterprise to undertake in real life. I wonder if they're hiring "Exalted Rulers" at the local Elks lodge?Eodnhoj7 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 6:27 amYep....that about sums it up....for better or worse....Fairy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 8:24 am https://youtu.be/XeRSI3GmpIc

You do not need to become rich and wealthy, or eternally healthy to be rich and wealthy and eternally healthy. It's already who you are. And who you already are is not for sale, I mean, why would you want to buy something that you've already got?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 9:24 amI wonder if the same applies to "metaphysicians"? To some degree, but their skill in rhetoric enables a deeply woven story that encapsulates the minds of the listeners and he who controls consciousness is the one with power.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 9:24 amI wonder if the same applies to "metaphysicians"? I remember visiting a university, I was applying to at the time, and I overheard one the the students talking to another. He said (loosely) "The only reason why Thomas Aquinas is influential is because he defined everything."
It stuck with me.
Many do not know the this great philosopher, in his final days after a deep spiritual experience, claimed "All my work is straw."
Any man, or woman, who deeply engages with the dialectical and rhetorical discipline and art of philosophy eventually has to come to terms with the vanity of it. The damnation, found within the saving power of the gods (our ideals), is that these things we value so deeply are utterly empty and vain.
An ideal is but a ghost story, a phantom that drives are deeply held desires forward, a god that conflicts with other gods in a vain circle.

The deeper we cultivate a genuineness, the more wealth we reap for the emergence of who we are unfolds reality in a manner similar to flowers springing forth from a field.Fairy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:23 pmYou do not need to become rich and wealthy, or eternally healthy to be rich and wealthy and eternally healthy. The tragedy of existence is the soil, intent is the plow, attention is the water and selflessness is the sun. All these things brought together springs forth genuineness and what is reaped is meaning.
