Relative Nothingness Permeates All Things
Relative Nothingness Permeates All Things
Relative Nothingness is the absence of a specific thing, considering the absence of one or more specific things is required for another thing to exist by taking the position of this absence Relative Nothingness permeates all things. Experience is a thing.

That's right.
As there is no such thing as 'Nothing', because 'Nothing' is not a 'thing' and so cannot be. Only 'thing' can be. Thing is relative to Nothing that cannot be.
So yes, Relative Nothingness permeates every thing.
Emptiness is the nature of all things, nothingness, so be attuned to nothingness and you will achieve. Nothingness is an absolute infinite potential, not an empty box. Among the great things which are found among us the existence of Nothing is the greatest.

If your are speaking of relative nothingness, then yes I agree.Fairy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 8:48 am That's right.

Otherwise:
Absolute Nothingness is a meaningless term, a full ranged paradox in language.
I noticed in my advanced yoga training "non-experience" is quite changing, it removes layers of the self and reveals attachments and aversions one doesn't even consciously know they had. It can be therapeutic and unnerving at the same time.

I’ve had similar experiences throughout my meditation training.Eodnhoj7 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 6:41 pmIf your are speaking of relative nothingness, then yes I agree.Fairy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 8:48 am That's right.

I then went on to find this quote that may have some relevance as to what is being described in a paradoxical language context.
“All that is not thought is pure nothingness; since we can think only thoughts, and all the words we use to speak of things can express only thoughts, to say there is something other than thought is therefore an affirmation which can have no meaning.”
Re: Relative Nothingness Permeates All Things
True, it may be argued that their is a paradoxical state beyond thought as "non-experience". True meaninglessness is often percieved as bad, but it cannot be a "bad" is a quality that has meaning. Nothingness is not even bad.Fairy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 10:17 amI’ve had similar experiences throughout my meditation training.Eodnhoj7 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 6:41 pmIf your are speaking of relative nothingness, then yes I agree.Fairy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 8:48 am That's right.

I agree.
Nothingness is not bad, in the context of there being no experience of nothingness in it's very conception. Nothingness being an integral aspect of the everything that always is, was, and ever will be, as this infinite ever-flowing experiencing in constant flux of continuous transformation.

Re: Relative Nothingness Permeates All Things
There are many perspectives and nuances to 'nothing' and 'nothingness'.
First, all human beings are programmed with an evolution default [critical for basic survival] that there are always things which is the common sense ordinary experience. In this perspective, when no things cognized or perceived then there is nothing, e.g. nothing as in no things in my pocket, in the room, in space, and the like.
This in a way is a perspective of relative-nothingness but relative only to common sense things.
In another perspective, the common sense evolutionary default is adopted by philosophical realists as an uncompromising ideology which claim things exist absolutely mind-independent, i.e. they exist regardless of whether there are human or not.
Because the ideology of philosophical realism is so problematic, dualistic, generating dilemmas & paradoxes, skepticism, triggering evil acts & sufferings, etc., philosophical antirealists counter it with relative-nothingness from the philosophical antirealists' perspective.
This relative-nothingness is therapeutic to counter the sufferings brought forth by dogmatic philosophical realism.
This relative-nothingness is relative to the human-conditions, i.e. somehow there is a human factor involved.
I am not sure what you meant by "Relative Nothingness permeates all things".
I would say, relative-nothingness as relative to the human conditions is the ground of all things.
Re: Relative Nothingness Permeates All Things
Perceived dualities and bringing the psyche back to wholeness by integrating opposites. We process perceptions by some primary dual associations until dualities crumble.
