What causes you to become a Philosopher?

Conceptualization changes the interior and exterior world and change is quite natural. Everyone is a philosopher at one point or another, some more so than others.

In other words philosophy is a natural activity of the human condition for experience is knowledge.

I became a philosopher by accident. During the summer of my twentieth year, i was given The Portable Nietzsche at Majik Beans coffee shop by an appalachian state music major. From that day forth, i became known as the homeless wandering Nietzschean on King street and would often be seen lecturing hippies at or around the coffee shop... something that often didn't go well (as you will see).

I guess my ponderings and questionings as a child, led me down that winding path from a very young age.. 11 onwards, I’d say, so post-11+ exams.

..though from the age of 3, I noticed that I was more thoughtful and cerebral than my siblings.. much to my detriment, and their scorn.

I knew that my peers, teachers, parents, friends, society, authorities, were lying to me from a young age, keeping certain beliefs and ideas away from public exposure. It wasn't until I entered college and picked up Plato's Republic, that I began to know, more exactly what my inner drive and inquisitive nature was/is about.

I wanted to know 'The Truth' more than anybody else. Yet the more questions I asked, and answers received, led to an infinite, unending line of more questions. Eventually, in Philosophy, you will learn that Questions can be much more valuable than Answers. It is into the Unknown, where the true Wisdom appears.

...by the way, the 'Cause' is also Genetic. Most humans simply don't have it, and don't want it even if and when they do have it.
